Our U10 and U12 racers just returned home from their last weekend trip and races of the season at the Kandahar Festival hosted by Greek Peak. They skied great and have learned so much this season.

We couldn’t be more proud of them in their first full USSA racing season.

At Oak Mountain, we participated in a team event dual panel slalom. Our coaches and kids were all put on different teams with other council coaches and racers and worked together in a bracket style knockout event hoping to reach the top of the podium!

Calling all young skiers who may be interested in joining our racers on the Royal Mountain Ski Team! We are looking for kids age 7 to 17 years old who are interested in racing, planning to race for their high school ski team, or are already racing in high school but are considering racing at the USSA level with us.

We will be training this Saturday Morning from 9am to noon, and you are welcome to come to the Tbar lodge at 830 to ask some questions or just stop by on the hill to drop in and join us during training.

The Annual Royal Flush Fun Race is on Sunday and we would be happy to help you get involved in the race to see if you have as much fun as our USSA racers have together!

Our oldest Royal Racer, u18 Carson Cheney is pictured here wearing his points leader bib while racing last weekend, as he had the lowest USSA points in the East at this ski race.

📣📣Carson also participated in the Empire State Games this weekend and won 🥇FIRST PLACE in the giant slalom!

Upcoming: He qualified to represent Section 2 and Johnstown High School at the NYS High School State Championship Races next week!

Our Royal Mountain Racers are keeping busy! This week four U12s traveled to Song Mountain in Tully, NY for a slalom training camp. They learned a lot despite struggling through 2 days of extreme fog and one full day of rain! Good work, Jonny, Casidy, Drew, and Reed! We are so proud of you!
