Congratulations to Sir Bills baseball standouts Travis Tallon, Danny Brown, and Noah Stock (on right) for being honored at the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce awards last evening. A special congratulations goes out to Danny for winning Fulton County Male Athlete of the Year! We’re all very proud of them.

I wanted to take a moment and acknowledge the success of our three levels for the 26 season. I’m very proud of all of our boys and I want to thank them for all their hard work. I also want to thank all the parents and families for their support. None of this happens without you! Below are each team’s records. I couldn’t be prouder to be the head coach of Johnstown baseball. We really do have the BEST players, parents, and coaches!

Modified: 9-3
Junior Varsity: 10-6
Varsity: 13-5 (16-6 with Myrtle Beach)
Overall = 35-16

The Sir Bills ended their regular season with a bang! They travelled to Cohoes (A) of the Colonial Council and put on a barrel show with 16 hits leading to a 12-3 win. Noah Stock (4 innings) and Travis Tallon (3 innings) combined pitching in the winning effort. Hitting standouts were:

Danny Brown: 4-5, 2 doubles, 2 runs, 2 RBI
Cole Downing: 4-5, Double, 2 runs, RBI
Nathan Paliling: 2-4, double, 2 runs, 3 RBI
Noah Stock: 2-5, double, run

Now Johnstown plays the waiting game for sectional play that will begin Wednesday. They ended their season with a 10-1 league record and 13-4 overall.

A win for the seniors and the team tonight! Johnstown defeated Mayfield on Senior Night 5-0. Jay Wing struck out ten batters over four innings while Noah Stock struck out five batters over three innings in the shutout victory. Nathan Paliling had two hits and two RBI’s and the Sir Bills stole 11 bases. Johnstown ends its WAC season with a 10-1 record (12-3 overall). Next up: Duanesburg Thursday night at 7:00 (JHS).
