Our farriers Paul and his son Cam owners of Pleasant Chappel Farriers provide unbeatable service. With the wet weather, the pasture creates muddy areas that can't be helped. My horse Tater lost a shoe in said mud. Sent a text to Paul on his day off, received a call back and now have the shoe back on 1day later. Can't ask for better service.

we are open for business now! All you need to do is reach out and we are ready to serve

Today's lesson was an amazing breakthrough with Tater with the accolades going to my trainer Maddie Harden . Maddie, " I think you need to try holding a crop in your hand. Don't think you will need to use it, just let Tater see it". WOW! Tater put his motor in gear and the remainder of the lesson was so satisfying and fun.

Spa day for Tater today. Got his teeth corrected this morning. Then this afternoon Pleasant Chapel Farriers (Paul and Cam White) came trimmed his feet and put front shoes on. Will be interesting to see how he goes in our lesson tomorrow.... He should feel so much better.....

So you work with your trainer Maddie Harden to find yourself a new horse. She finds you a wonderful 17.1 hand OTTB that is calm and steady, you try it, fall in love with it and buy it.

Now you go to your first lesson on him with Maddie giving you 100% of her attention. You have been pretty consistent and moving up the jump heights on your other horse Skye where you learned to slow him down to get the results you wanted.

Well, so much for that! Now you are going to learn how to get one going, keep your leg on, seat drive him to get the desired results.....your legs are going to hate you.....

Maddie is loving it. We'll at least someone is....actually I am also as I call the new lessons highly educational!!

Stay tuned for a report on the next 2 lessons this week.

Tater is now turned out as part of the herd! He is still trying to figure out all the free roaming space he has. He is also figuring out who he can trust within the herd. So far he is keeping his distance from everyone.

On another note, what does everyone think of "Spectater" for his show name?

Where are we this morning? Lone Wolf equestrian center to pick up Tater to haul him to a Pre-Purchase-Exam in Xenia Ohio. Once we know the results of the check, all hopes are to then take him to his new home, Fires Creek Farm .

Another hell no morning. As I opened the sliding door to our deck two Coyotes jumped up from behind the hay bale in the pasture (100 ft from the door). They ran away so fast I didnt even have time to grab a gun next to the door. Very worried they are stalking our barn cats.

Friday and I completed my 3rd ride of the week on Ujustdontgetit. He has been eating all his grain and literally a bale of hay a day. This 4th ride was his best yet, as Maddie Harden and I feel he was happy and a bit tired from the rides and being turned out in the back pasture.

Thursday come and gone. I completed rides on two horses today with my trainer Maddie Harden. The first was a Freisian Cross. Maddie rode him first and fell in love with him. I got on him and he did not care for me and my riding style.
Next was another OTTB that had the looks of our current horse Eugene and the eyes of Frank, my Dutch Warm Blood that passed away. Green, but "Steady as he goes".

Thursday already. 3 rides in on Ujustdontgetit with our first jumping with my coach Maddie Harden. This horse is a bit above my skill level. It would take a while (1-3 years) for he and I to get in sync. Stays on the list but still looking. Two more prospects to ride today.
