05/23/2026
In 2021, I opened United Cycling during one of the hardest periods of my life. After battling addiction, trauma, and nearly losing everything, bikes became more than a hobby for me β they became part of my recovery, my purpose, and my connection back to people and community.
The name βUnited Cyclingβ actually came from my mother. She believed bicycles brought people together no matter their background, struggles, age, or differences. She believed people could heal through connection, community, and shared experiences. Sadly, we lost her far too soon, but a piece of her has lived inside this shop every single day since we opened the doors.
What started as a dream turned into something I could have never imagined. United Cycling gave me the opportunity to meet incredible people, help riders of all ages, support local events, laugh, struggle, grow, and prove to myself that recovery and second chances are real.
Sadly, all good chapters eventually come to an end.
Our last official day at United Cycling will be 6/5/2026.
This decision wasnβt easy, but it comes with an exciting new opportunity and a fresh start in Sedona, Arizona. While itβs bittersweet closing the doors, Iβm beyond grateful for every customer, every friend, and every person who supported this little shop over the last few years. You helped change my life more than you probably realize.
To everyone who trusted us with your bikes, stopped in to talk, supported our events, shared our posts, or simply believed in me when I was rebuilding my life β thank you.
United Cycling may be closing, but the journey definitely isnβt over.
Much love,
Jeff
