Strategy session underway as we roll off 8th in the 2nd heat! Tonight is the last night for points, so there’s no holding anything back. We’ll put our heads down and we will give it everything we’ve got.

After flying in from a short beach vacation, Dave and some of the crew touched down back in Albany at 1 PM, loaded up, and headed straight to the track for the rain-delayed “Legacy Made in Clay” in honor of Lyle.

Drawing 87, we would roll off 8th in the heat. Dave wheeled the car forward to a 5th-place finish, gaining a qualifying spot and putting us into the feature.

It was a long night at with caution after caution throughout the program. Finally, at 11:30 PM, we took the green for the feature. With a tough, challenging track, we kept digging and fought our way forward from 20th to finish 12th!

Tonight was about more than racing. It was about honoring a man who gave so much to this racing community. We will always remember the commitment, dedication, and passion that Lyle showed to racing and to everyone around him.

A huge thank you to Marcy, Mia, and the entire Albany-Saratoga crew for a long, but special night.

Sorry we’ve been a little quiet on social media, but Mother Nature scored a hat trick tonight, raining us out for the 3rd week in a row! 🌧️🏁
The the final Points Night happens Friday, September 4th. That leaves us with just 3 more nights in the regular season.
We’re hoping for plenty of sunshine ☀️ and some good racing weather next week so we can have a strong run and keep ourselves inside the Top 10! 🏁🔥
