Team "No Clue Whatsoever" must have had a clue! πŸ˜‰

They escaped 3 short minutes faster to take bragging rights as our new reigning champions of the Explorers Quest Escape Room with a time of 37 minutes! πŸ†

Who can beat that? ⏰

Come on down during September to see if your team can be the next on the leaderboard!

Also come back after we switch up the story for Halloween in October!

Good morning! πŸ˜ƒ

Things are getting almost back to normal around here. Water levels are just a little above normal in the Clarion River main stem and West Branch.

The East Branch Clarion River is just right and pretty much back to normal, if not a little low. We had an enjoyable paddle yesterday, even the couple of cranky 🦫 beavers 🦫 that slapped the water to warn us away 😳 were entertaining πŸ˜‚.

Open until 5 PM today. We have a couple Escape Room reservations today, so please message us ahead to schedule your group time slot.

Closed Mondays and Tuesdays (Including Labor Day) to spend time with our family.

Thank you for the incredible support and patronage we've received from everyone so far! We look forward to meeting you if you haven't had a chance to stop in yet. We Hope to see all of our new customers and friends that we've made this year again soon!

I saw this itty-bitty baby ring-necked snake on the Eagle Scout trail yesterday along East Branch Clarion River. It sure was quick to hide. See comments for still photo.

Even as they reach adulthood, these tiny slitherers only grow to about 10-15 inches long!

They eat worms, slugs, salamanders and other little creatures. Cool beans! 🐍

An assortment of nuts are available to snack on for your weekend at camp or lounging at home. If you like those carved blocks of wooden beams, there are salvaged pieces complete with historic square nails embedded in them available for purchase through the Johnsonburg Community Trust to help raise funds to continue the renovation of the brick block.

We have traveler's information with brochures on all the best local vacation rentals, food & drinks, and things to see and do. Stop in to plan your next adventure in the PA Wilds!

Local hosts and guides, we'll gladly share your cards and brochures to help promote your services too...come talk shop with us sometime! We're also still looking for other commissioned vendors to sell outdoorsy, nature-based, and other locally handmade products in our shop. Good Saturday morning!

οΏΌThe river level is receding ever so slightly. It's still about a foot above normal. Please be cautious and wear your life jacket at all times!

The East Branch Clarion River looks pretty calm and settled; it might be a great route to try today. Just watch out for new downed trees and limbs which can have the tendency to span most of the channel on the East Branch sometimes, so stay vigilant.

Otherwise, the rain has finally let up for the weekend. It looks like we should have sunny skies and good times for the extended holiday.

We have our mouse hunt all set up and ready for junior explorers in the store. Our escape room is open all day and we have new snacks, including an assortment of different roasted and seasoned peanuts cashews and other mixed nuts. We also have Squatch balls - chocolate covered malted milk balls - and a variety of other new products to check out in the store. Come in and visit us.

Happy Friday! River levels are receding and starting to clear up, albeit slowly, after sustaining repeated storms this week. The West Branch and mainstem Clarion River at Johnsonburg are still pretty full and fast.

The East Branch Clarion River is clearing up but may still be slightly swift, and always stay vigilant for new fallen trees and obstacles. The East Branch Lake is always a nice flat-water floating option too!

The shop and Escape Room are open tonight until 7 PM! Come down and give it a try! Students - $5; Adults - $15. One-hour time limit, but we have a best group time of 40 minutes holding the crown at the moment! Can you be beat them and the clock?
