Mother Nature had other plans today! ⚡️

Our U9 and U10 boys brought the energy in Kingsport before lightning called an early end to the action. Proud of how these guys competed out there — rain or shine (or lightning), FCAN shows up.

FC Alliance family on the field ⚽️💙 A great day of soccer in Bristol as FC Alliance North hosted FC Alliance Knoxville for a club play date!

From the youngest players to the older teams, the day was filled with competitive games, great moments, and plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and compete together.

Thank you to our FC Alliance Knoxville families for making the trip, and to all of our players, coaches, and families who helped make it such a fun day at the fields.

More soccer. More opportunities. More growth. 💙⚽️

Why do we love small-sided games like 5v5?

Because players are constantly involved. With fewer players and less space, they have to scan the field, find space, communicate, and make quick decisions—pass, dribble, support a teammate, or defend.

Research on small-sided games supports what coaches see on the field: these formats can help players develop their technical skills, tactical understanding, and decision-making through the game itself.

And sometimes the biggest progress isn’t something that appears on the scoreboard. It’s a player trying something new, making a better decision, or growing a little more confident with the ball.

That’s what we care about at FC Alliance North: creating an environment where players can learn, build confidence, and continue developing every time they step onto the field. 💙⚽️
