Capoeira Nagôas US Nagôas Association of Traditional Capoeira has the goal to spread the seeds of this Brazilian marti In the U.S.A.

The Nagôas Association of Traditional Capoeira was created by Mestre Delicado with the goal to spread the seeds of the Capoeira tradition, teaching about its martial art, music, dancing, and history. The Nagôas traces has roots back to the Senzala of the Grão-Mestre Dunga. Its headquarters is located in Natal – RN, Brazil, where it is led by Mestre Delicado. the Nagôas is coordinated by Marcelo Kramer “Poti” who is teaching the Capoeira tradition at the East Tennessee State University – ETSU, Johnson City.

From all Bruce’s records/writings about many martial arts he studied to develop the Jeet Kune Do, there are no evidence that he got in contact with the Capoeira.

However, the roots of the Capoeira we know today and the Jeet Kune Do (JKD) are deeply connected with the SAVATE. The European “street fight” (mostly known in France and Portugal) which was brought to Brazil by the so call “fadistas” who combined their forces with the Capoeiras and thought them their kicks, break falls and the blades.

Some of Bruce’s books as well we can find his studies on Savate during the time he was developing the JKD.

I can’t stop imagine the possibility of the Dragon playing Capoeira if he was alive today… 😁🙌🏽🔥
