Sandy Ranch Outfitters We're Sandy Ranch Outfitters, game hunting engineers. We own, manage, and hunt a beautiful ranchin the Central Texas Hill Country, it is fed year-round.

Our mission is to furnish visitors with the best game hunting experience of their life. Our game population is best-in-class. Deer (white-tail in particular) are spotted in abundance on all of our properties, as are Rio Grande Turkey and feral hogs. Moreover, we manage small but high-quality populations of exotic game animals such as Addax and Blackbuck. In addition to our fully-guided hunts, we go to great lengths to accommodate our guests. These include: transportation from and to airports in Austin or San Antonio, bed & breakfast-style lodging, home-cooked meals from a trained chef, fishing, and other leisure activities perfect for family and small corporate getaways. Once deer season wraps up in January, the ranch gets a lot calmer. That's when we open the house up to everybody.

The main house sleeps 6. The game room has a pool table, shuffleboard, darts and a bar. Down on Grape Creek there's a private swimming hole, bass and catfish in the water, and plenty of room to sit outside and do nothing at all.

Johnson City puts you close to Pedernales Falls, the shops in Fredericksburg, and the w**eries along 290.

It's Hill Country camping without roughing it too much. Johnson City is a few minutes away, and Fredericksburg and Pedernales Falls make good day trips.

Our RV and tent site sit right on Grape Creek, a spring-fed creek running through 648 acres of Texas Hill Country outside Johnson City. If you like to paddle, bring your kayak. We don’t rent boats, so pack your own and put in right from camp.

You’re also in the middle of Texas w**e country, with more than 50 w**eries a short drive away and Fredericksburg close by for shopping and supper. Spend the day out exploring, then come back to the creek and settle in by the fire. Campers rate it 99% on Hipcamp, and Chris is a Hipcamp Star Host.

We've been hunting this land for 20 years. Sandy Ranch is family owned and fair chase, and you earn your animal here.

Our guides work one-on-one with you. Back at the lodge there's a game room and a walk-in freezer for your harvest. There's a swimming hole on Grape Creek and fishing on the property too.

Guys keep coming back, and a lot of them bring the family.
