It's been awhile since we've posted and a lot has changed. We retired from stage rally and are now focusing on Rallycross again with a new build. Meet 'Cooper', a lightened copper (DIY-wrapped) 93 Impreza with a built JDM EJ207 ver8 on an awesome Cryotune Performance LLC E85 tune, DCCD 5-speed, iWire Wiring Services project harness, '15 STI rack, KSport USA GR gravel suspension, DBA rotors, Hawk pads and many new and used parts sourced from The Subie Doctor. After phase 1 of the build, she took 1st and FTD at 2 local TX clubs and 4th out of 33 at the Northwest Rally Association Rallycross Fest 2023 up at DirtFish.

We're back at it at the Show-Me Rally in Missouri after our abrupt ending at Rally Colorado. Day 1 was 3 stages in the daylight followed by the same 3 in the dark. The Subie Doctor car has been performing great so far. 8 more stages tomorrow.

Rally Colorado is a favorite event of ours! It’s also one of the most challenging that we’ve competed in. It’s hot, dry, rough, rocky stages and gnarly steep drops. Day 1 went great and we ended the day 6th overall and 2nd in class after 6 stages. The 1st stage of day 2, SS7 Douglas Creek beat us. Just about 1/2 way is a loose entry into a tight left. We were too hot going in and went off. Luckily this was not the gnarliest drop and we landed sideways into a tree. We weren’t out of the car yet (it’s tough climbing out of a sideways car) when we heard another car go off at the same spot we did. All of us were ok. Near the end of the pack another team went off. The 2nd pass thru this corner caught our friends the Millers too. Rally cars are built with a lot of safety equipment, today we were thankful for all of it and the tree that caught us. After sweep winched us back to the road, we changed the right front tire and drove back to service. We may have been able to continue in the race, but our passenger side windshield was shattered.

Stage car is fully recovered from the fire damage at the Bristol Forest Rally and did great at the first day of stages at Rally Colorado today. We're currently sitting 2nd in class and 6th overall.

We just returned from the Bristol Forests Rally Super Regional in eastern TN. Well run event, 12 super twisty stages in a single day, beautiful area and great people all around. We started 11th and were 1st in class and 4th overall after 11 stages and were within a mile of the end of the last stage when flames shot out of the hood scoop (video to come). Engine fire from oil leak near turbo ended our day and hopes on a podium finish but we still had a great time.
