People are so busy this time of year. To stay on tract with our nutrition we need meals that are quick and healthy. Here’s a quick meal that I made tonight that’s packed with protein and is high in fiber. Just brown up 1lbs of lean ground beef (96/4) and add your favorite pasta sauce. Boil up a high fiber pasta. I used chickpea pasta. Add your favorite vegetable and you have a great meal in 30 min. I even had extra to have for another night or lunch. 👍😃

When it comes alcohol and weight loss you have to be balanced. You should not have a restricted mindset when it comes to foods or drinks but moderation is the key. With alcohol calories are the biggest factor. Here are 3 things to think of with alcohol and weight loss:
1. Unlike food, there is no simple trigger to tell you when you had enough. It effects that part of the brain and it makes it easy to drink more
2. Drinking dehydrates you so you drink more
3. Can effect your cravings and research shows that drinking alcohol before a meal can increase how much you eat during the meal.
So it doesn’t mean that you can’t have an occasional drink but come up with a plan when it comes to drinking with friends or eating out.
