U.S. District Judge Vernon Broderick issued a temporary restraining order on Thursday preventing officials from arresting, detaining or transferring Imran Ahmed, the 47-year-old CEO of the Center for Countering Digital Hate and a U.S. permanent resident living in New York with his American wife and child, after the Trump administration imposed visa bans on Tuesday on Ahmed and four Europeans including former EU commissioner Thierry Breton, accusing them of working to censor freedom of speech or unfairly target U.S. tech giants with burdensome regulation. 📷: Getty
