Jerome Sporting Clays Shooting Sporting Clays-15 stations representing realistic bird/rabbit actions. At present most people think this sport is "Trap" or "S***t".

We are wanting to reach people that have never heard of sporting clays and educate them on what shooting sporting clays is all about. This is not the case. Sporting Clays is quite different. There are typically 10 stations on a course with 10 shots at each station. Clay Birds representing; Pheasants, Teal, Ducks, Rabbits, etc. are called for and shot at each station. It takes about 2-3 hours to s

hoot 100 Clays. Take a stroll with a Gun Cart, Drive a Golf Cart or ATV to each station. Throughout the year The Sporting Clay Division assists Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever and various other fund raisers that help these organizations and promote Memberships. The cost to shoot 100 clays is $25.00/Members and 30.00/Non-Members - Membership Fees are: $25.00 Individual and $35.00 Family - Renewed Annually. Saturday May 30

Jerome County Rod & Gun Club will hold the annual Beginners Sporting Clay Shoot on Saturday, April 29, at the Club’s Sporting Clay Range.

This shoot is held annually to introduce beginners including those that have never shot or have only shot sporting clays very little. Starting at 10 a.m.

We provide 50 free targets, but you must provide your own ammunition. We have some ammunition to purchase, but mostly 12 gauge.

We will provide gun club members to volunteer to assist you in safety and shooting practices of the sport.

We hope to see you at the Shoot!

200-Yard Range Update

We are pleased to announce that we have received our Notice to Proceed from the IDFG Grant to expand our 200-yard range. We are in the process of the final site cleanup and contractor selection. Please thank IDFG if you get the opportunity.

Sunday, May 31 is a Three person Team - Blind Draw and Calcutta starting at 9 a.m.

3-D Target Shoot (20 Arrows) Plus 50 Sporting Clays combined for team scoring.

Everyone is welcome and the entry fee includes BBQ lunch.

Sporting Clay Update – busy weekend coming up

This Friday, May 15, the entire Sporting Clay Range will be closed to set up for the 200-bird registered shoot Saturday, May 16. Shooting starts at 10 a.m.

This is also a reminder that lunch will be available for those shooters and spectators on Saturday.

Sunday May 17 is our regular third Sunday Sporting Clay Shoot starting at 10 a.m.
