Justin Hansen in collaboration with World of Guns is working to make the first 3 dimensions disassembly reassembly process for the Anshütz Fortner 1827F Biathlon rifle. Using world of guns application biathletes will have the ability to take apart Anshütz biathlon rifles all the way to the core removing every screw.
This will be a great way for the biathlon community to learn the ins and outs of the system and give biathletes a safe and effective way to learn about dissembly of their Anshütz rifle.
This is a very exciting project!

Good news for all World of Guns users! We’ve got a sponsored model, and it will be released with priority — meet the Anschütz 1827 Fortner biathlon rifle! We’re also making great progress with the St. Étienne Mle 1907 textures, and we plan to release it next week.

August 1st - Official Training
Today's temps were cool enough to allow for Justin to wear the purple and orange race suit. This race suit has had silicone printed on by Anderson Monograms who we will be working closely with to dial in the silicone printing process.
For those who don't know, silicone patches and dots are placed on the abdomen, bicep and elbows to help "stick" to the mat. The elbow will stick to the mat in prone and to the silicone present on the abdomen during standing.
We have added some silicone on the thighs to help with more friction on the mat surface itself.
We also moved into using the race ammo SK Ammunition, specifically their biathlon ammo which seems to work very well out of Justin's Marlin however a good mention goes to Sellier & Bellot USA which has been a phenomenal practice round and been our main go to for every training so far.
Today was quite a successful test of the Kroops dark goggles.
Justin says that the new standing grip from Lost Nation Research and Development is moving to be to be his favorite but more testing is needed.
Thanks to Ethan Allen Biathlon Club and usbiathlon for putting on today's official training for the Summer National Championships

July 31st
Today was the final training day with the national guard.
Today Justin got his race roller skis up and going and dialed in the breaks. Reaching a recorded speed over 32 mph, Justin is quite glad that the breaks are there as a safe way to slow down.
Today was overcast so you will see Justin with his clear goggles.

July 30th
After some hiccups with Justin's old standing grip we have begun testing of the new Lost Nation R and D standing grip.
We have found a way to store water on the jersey with minimal interference of the rifle. While filling all 3 pockets with water will cause the rifle to hang up on the caps a small squishy water bottle turned upside down seems not to cause this problem. At least in the case of Justin's set up.
We also would like to introduce SKIRACK as a new sponsor for Justin Hansen's rifle. After the single track shootout Justin's old sponsor stickers fell off the rifle.
Justin was also able to get help from SKIRACK regarding a broken boot and attaching new bindings to his Rollerskis.
Skirack is a great place to shop for skis, Rollerskis and they have a great staff who are always helpful. We are happy to see them supporting our athletes and hope you will check them out.

July 29th:
Yesterday was a rest day for the team but today was the first day at the Jericho Biathlon range. Today was all about learning the Jericho venue.
The national guard folks were very helpful with everything.
Later on there was some trouble with pole tips coming loose and SKIRACK Skirack was able to add additional glue to the tips to prevent the tips from sliding around any further.

July 27th:
Today was a hard race for Justin and a rigorous test or the Kenai Biathlon high heat suit .
Justin's road bike from skirack had to be swapped for another more appropriate mountain bike to handle the single track. Conditions started off well enough but shortly after starting the race monsoon style rains started muddying the single track and complicating shooting stages.
Despite this Justin was able to finish the race and secure a top 10 finish with a place of 8th. Thank to Susan Dunklee for helping Justin to get started and learn the venue. Also a big thanks to Raleigh Goessling and other staff for helping to put this event together.

After Kenai biathlon's experience with such heavy rains we are accelerating our time table on a rain suit and poncho.

We also returned the rental from and while we were there discussed different rain jacket and rain pants features. The staff were very helpful in answering all of our questions.

July 26th:
Testing at the Mount Van Hovenberg Olympic complex finished with the suits working well. Future designs will incorporate drop pockets on the shorts for hydration and gel packs.

Kenai Biathlon also visited the Olympic museum in lake placid.
If you didn't know the 1980 lake placid Olympics were a big year for Biathlon. Electronic inline targets were introduced and 22 (not sure if the lr part was standardized yet) had been adopted a few years earlier so it was used at the lake placid Olympics.
Despite this a lot of biathlon signs made around this time still used the "dice style" target pattern or 5 targets that resemble the 5 side ofa die.

We also visited SKIRACK to pick up a bike for the the single track shootout on the 27th.
A post on that is coming soon.

Kenai Biathlon completed a very productive practice day and testing of our new High Heat Race suit.
Designed for maximum light reflecting capabilities for athletes competing in extreme hot temps, the design combines white elements with the Kenai Biathlon signature color of purple and orange.
We also. Successfully tested are helmet covers and they will soon become part of the standard Rollerski uniform and the Double HH (High Heat) uniform.

Kenai Biathlon is delighted to announce our first international pilot program field testers: Biathlon Alberta.
Kenai Biathlon is honored to have such a prestigious team trying out the new, prototype 001 of the new Biathlon Splatter Zero Targets. Their standard of excellence extends throughout all of their brand. Kenai Biathlon will be sending 36 zeroing targets for a full test of the 30 target range. The range at the Biathlon Alberta Training Center has a maximum capacity of 60 zeroing targets to zero with. This will mean that Kenai Biathlon's targets can be positioned either on the top or bottom from the traditional zeroing targets and the difference can be immediately realized.
With this collaboration Kenai Biathlon hopes to gain invaluable insight into the performance of our chosen pigments as well as gaining boots on the ground, physical, in-person knowledge that Kenai Biathlon with our limited range and team size could only dream to attain.

Thank you to Mr. Elmar Heger the general manager of Biathlon Alberta for arranging this and counseling with head coach Rachel Koroscil to make this happen.
We look forward to the results of field test 1 of the World's First Biathlon Splatter Targets - For Zeroing.
Here is a photo of what is shipping out to them. It includes Kenai Biathlon's new square logo as well as the logos of Biathlon Alberta and the training center there.

Announcing..... A New Way Forward in Kenai Biathlon's Marketing

I just recently contacted Inktank Printing out of California and subsequently Giant Invitations's Attila Vermes. Mr. Vermes is an exceptional individual and I feel we could have discussed for hours about Stationary, letterheads, certificates and all manner of textiles.
Not only did we discuss textiles we discussed email templates and creating and perfecting how Kenai Biathlon's brand appears to all of you.
Mr. Vermes has a radiant energy about him that enables productivity on the highest level. If you haven't checked out Inktank Printing or Giant Invitationstations I highly recommend their customer service.
I cannot put to words how excited I am to be taking Kenai Biathlon's branding, mailers and other textile communications into this new future for Kenai Biathlon
