Hire a professional fitness coach to help you reach your goals. Look for a professional who will not only give you accurate, safe fitness information and training but who will also tell you the truth.

Start eating! "Your body is a 'refuel as it goes machine,' which simply means it needs to be consistently fed to provide energy to live. This type of consistent feeding stabilizes your blood sugar levels and creates internal hormonal balance -- and that keeps you from packing on the pounds. Advice: Eat within an hour of waking to kick-start your metabolism. Then keep eating every three to four hours ending an hour before bedtime.

Know this:
If you're convinced that you're melting fat while exercising, you'll make a mind-body connection that will actually help you lose fat faster. In a 2007 Harvard study, participants who believed they were getting a good workout showed greater reductions in body fat than subjects who performed the same activities but didn't feel like they were really exercising.
Do this:
The next time you do anything active, remind yourself every few minutes that you're giving it your all. This little mental move may motivate you to push yourself harder, leading to even greater fat loss.

GLYCEMIC INDEX (GI) - is a ranking system for carbohydrates based on their effects on blood glucose levels. GI is simply the rate at which foods supply energy to the body. Eating foods that have a low glycemic index will help release energy over a longer period of time. Eating foods that have a high glycemic index will give short burst of energy that will often leave you feeling hungry.

The Adaptation Principle

Part of constant growth is never allowing your body to adapt to one specific training protocol. If you constantly vary workouts then your muscles can never adapt to the stress. Change up the workouts periodically to keep them growing and changing.

Why do I need to eat after a workout?

After you workout, your insulin levels are low, stress hormones are elevated, muscle and liver glycogen has gone down, muscle breakdown is increased, and fuel and fluid levels are likely depleted. Left unattended, this post-exercise environment can lead to increased muscle soreness, extended fatigue and low energy. In order to avoid these consequences and enhance performance, recovery nutrition is a priority. By eating after your workout, you can turn the body’s post-exercise responses into gains.
