To our awesome skating community:
Beginning today, March 23, the Jenks Skate Park will be closed until further notice, due to COVID-19 precautions. Please see the City of Jenks Facebook most recent FB post regarding all park modifications.
We understand this is disappointing to some, but we support keeping our community as safe as possible. And though being outside and exercising is always a good thing, there is no way to regulate limiting the amount of skaters allowed at the park at one time, nor any way to consistently maintain social distancing while using the skate park.
Please note that playground equipment is closed but the open spaces at Veterans Park and Central Park are still open to exercise and play.
Thank you to all of you who continue to support the Skate Park and we will update you as soon we we re-open!
Thank you to our community for the continued support and patience you have shown during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Following up our post from yesterday, several park modifications and closures were put into effect in order to keep our community safe, but still have accessibility to open park spaces.
Beginning today, March 23rd:
🍃Jenks Skate Park is closed until further notice.
🍃BarkWest Dog Park is closed until further notice. We know time with pets is a way to improve physical and mental health. We hope you utilize Veterans Park or Central Park’s open areas to walk and play with your dog.🐶
Please note all dogs must be on a leash at all times and please pick up your animal’s waste to keep our parks clean.
🍃Veterans Park and Central Park’s playground equipment is closed. Please do not let children go through barricades around the equipment- this is for their safety and the safety of others.
Fresh air and exercise are important to a healthy lifestyle, therefore our open spaces at the parks are still open. However, being outdoors still requires social distancing rules.
Please avoid gathering in groups of 10 or more, please maintain a space of 6ft or more with anyone other than those living with you and wash hands (or use hand sanitizer) frequently.
Please continue to monitor COVID-19 at www.cdc.gov/Coronavirus and stay home if experiencing symptoms (dry cough, fever and shortness of breath).
