ATTACK ANGLE

Attack angle a phrase that we used to call bat path. It is what Blast Technology refers to the path the bat takes as it makes contact with the ball. It can be an uppercut which would indicate a positive number such as 10 (degrees) or it can be a downward path or what has been referred to as chopping and it is indicated by a negative number such as -3 (degrees) or it can be level swing such as 0 degrees.

The attack angle/bat path that is desired is based on the type of hitter however I don't believe anyone wants to have much of an attack angle degree higher than 7 and ideally as close to 0 the better. Even for the serious power hitters but they can "get away with" a higher number than a speed player that rarely wants to pop up. Continue on the Virtual Academy
