Mind Your Fitness Personalized fitness and strength coaching by CJ, an exercise physiologist and climber. This is an inside-out approach! Training is not a one-size-fits all!!

CJ, an exercise physiologist, has an innovative and creative approach to fitness, integrating her scientific knowledge with her creative flair. She emphasizes personalized training, because it is more efficient to help an individual develop their mind and body appropriately. By discussing your personal goals, CJ will be able to develop a training plan specific to your interests. About CJ:
CJ earne

d her Master of Science in Exercise Physiology (with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning) at the University of Louisville, where she received extensive training in Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Prescription, and Strength and Conditioning techniques. She also participated in internships during this time, working with cardiac rehab patients in a hospital setting and with high school athletes during an internship as a strength and conditioning coach. She also has experience leading boot camps and leading fitness groups for underprivileged children. CJ has inspired and helped many of her friends lose weight. CJ has been a physiology instructor at a university, teaching a Human Physiology lecture/lab course. More recently, CJ has worked with the Army, training their Master Fitness Trainers. She is a certified Master Fitness Trainer Instructor by the Army Physical Fitness School in Ft Jackson. CJ is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach by the NSCA and is CPR/AED certified. CJ is also finishing up her PhD in Physiology and Biophysics in Medical School, where she has done research in traumatic brain injury, neurovascular research, spinal cord injury, and high altitude physiology.

Hi everyone! Starting June 1, 2021, I am canceling my website, www.trainwithcj.com. Between sciencing and coaching, I don't have time to maintain it, so I'm spending money on it for nothing really! Although I train a variety of people, I have more recently started focusing more on strength and conditioning for older women (those age 30 and above), particularly, but not limited to, climbers. Want to work out at home but have minimal or NO gym equipment? No problem! CJ creates training sessions specific to YOU - your goals and what you have on hand. Fitness is not a one-size-fits-all approach! CJ will take into account your goals and interests and creatively tailor a plan specific to YOU. She meets people where they are at goes from there. It doesn't matter what shape you are in...you have to start someday; might as well be now. It doesn't get easier, no, but YOU get stronger. Nothing worth having ever comes easy!
