**THE UNBREAKABLES — VEGAS 2026**

Next up in our Vegas photo catch-up is our 9-Ball team, **The Unbreakables aka 9-Ballz Deep, captained by **Bob** Robert Wlodyka.

This group has become such a close-knit family, and getting to watch them make their **second trip to Vegas in a row** was pretty special.

After a rough start getting there because of travel delays, they settled in, rallied together, and did what they do best — supported one another and enjoyed the experience.

We were especially happy that Bob’s wife, Pam Wlodyka, was able to make the trip and compete after everything she has been through this past year.

And, apparently, I once again took a ridiculous number of pictures. 😂

I ended up with nearly **500 photos** of this team while they competed and well over **200 that we’ll be sharing** over the next couple of posts.

It was a lot of fun watching this crew compete, laugh, support one another, and make another round of Vegas memories together.

🎱 **HAPPY LITTLE ACCIDENTS — VEGAS 2026, PART 3** 🎱

Okay, in our defense… when a team plays **seven matches in Vegas**, apparently you end up with a LOT of pictures. 😂

I mean they probably played between 25 to 28 hours of pool.

We started with roughly **1,729 photos and videos** from Happy Little Accidents’ World Pool Championships run, and narrowing them down has proven to be almost as challenging as taking them in the first place!

So here comes **Part 3** — another collection of shots from the tables, teammates cheering each other on, and some of the moments we caught along the way.

There are just too many memories from this run not to share them. ❤️🎱

And the Vegas photo dump continues. ❤️

There were just too many great moments from Happy Little Accidents’ run to squeeze into one post, so here’s another round of action from their time at the 2026 APA World Pool Championships.

Long matches, tough shots, teammates watching from the sidelines, and a whole lot of pool.

🎱 **HAPPY LITTLE ACCIDENTS — VEGAS 2026** 🎱

After two weeks of our return, we’ve finally started going through all of our Vegas pictures, and first up is our 8-Ball team, "Happy Little Accidents", captained by Melissa Whitcomb who proudly play out of **ALLPLaY Family Entertainment in Belfast, Maine**.

And wow… what a run they had. ❤️

Out of "833" teams competing, Happy Little Accidents battled their way all the way to **33rd place** after playing **seven matches**, lasting anywhere from three to five hours each. They fought through long days, close matches, trips to the hill, and sudden death. Through it all, they kept grinding every step of the way.

Caleb and I were there with cameras in hand for just about all of it, and somehow ended up with approximately 1,729 pictures and quite a few videos from this team’s matches and Vegas experience alone. 😂

After hours of sorting through them, we narrowed it down to 234 action shots and 146 candid photos that we just couldn’t leave behind.

So this is only the beginning.

We’re kicking things off with a big splash of action shots, with a few candid moments sprinkled in along the way, and we’ll be sharing more from this incredible team over the next several posts.

Happy Little Accidents represented Eastern Maine APA beautifully, and we could not be more proud of the run they made.

Another Successful Tri-Annual in the Books! 🎉

We had another great day of APA pool last Saturday at our 9-Ball Tri-Annuals at ALLPLaY Family Entertainment in Belfast, and we’re excited to congratulate the two teams who earned their spots in next year’s World Qualifier!

🏆 Harbor Hogs, captained by Dylon Grant, playing out of the VFW in Belfast

Congratulations to both teams! We’re excited to see you take the next step on the Road to Vegas! 🎱✈️

We also want to give a very special shout-out to ALLPLaY and their staff. They continue to provide such a welcoming, comfortable environment for our players and are always wonderful hosts for our tournaments. We truly appreciate everything they do to help make these events run smoothly and give our players a great place to compete. ❤️

And we had a few more accomplishments to celebrate Saturday!

🎱 **Captain Spotlight — David Simmons ** 🎱

Last but definitely not least in our Vegas Captain Spotlights is **David Simmons**, captain of **The Maine Event** out of Sammi's Family Entertainment Center in Waldoboro.

And yes — **The Maine Event**. We have to give them credit for that one. 😂

This group already knew each other well before heading to Vegas, and you could tell. They were comfortable together, they laughed a lot, they enjoyed the experience, and they just looked like a group of friends who were genuinely happy to be there together.

Dave may have ended up with the captain title a little bit by default, but somebody still has to take the reins — and he did a great job leading a group that already had plenty of chemistry of its own.

And we also have to mention the shirts.

They were fantastic. Seriously. The Maine Event absolutely understood the assignment when it came to showing up in Vegas looking like a team. 😎🎱

Dave, thank you for stepping into the captain role, representing Eastern Maine APA, and helping make this Vegas experience such a fun one for your crew.

That officially wraps up our captain spotlights for now, but we are FAR from done with Vegas pictures. We’ve got a whole lot more players, matches, smiles, candids and memories still to share over the next several days.

🎱 **Captain Spotlight — Richard Guthrie ** 🎱

Our next Vegas Captain Spotlight is **Richard Guthrie**, captain of **Great Leaves Pool Team**, one of our Captains Championship teams representing Eastern Maine APA in Las Vegas.

This team was a little different from the others we brought to Vegas.

Great Leaves brought together three captains from different parts of our league — one from Ellsworth out of Ellsworth Candlepin Alley and two from the Midcoast out of Bears Den Billiards in Rockport— who hadn’t played together as a team before this experience.

And somehow, over the course of qualifying, traveling and competing together in Vegas, three individual players became a team.

That takes a captain who can be flexible, get to know the people around him and figure out how to bring different personalities and playing styles together — and Richard did exactly that.

Their tournament run may have been a short one, but judging by the smiles, laughs and a few pictures we came home with, they still managed to make plenty of memories along the way. ❤️

Richard is also someone Caleb Boland and I have personally known for more than 15 years, enjoyed playing on teams together, and throughout all of that time he has always been a genuinely good guy and a huge supporter of the pool community. That made it especially fun for us to see him have the opportunity to represent Eastern Maine APA on the biggest stage our players get to experience.

Richard, thank you for stepping up, taking on the captain role, bringing a brand-new group together and representing Eastern Maine APA in Vegas.

Sometimes the best part of an experience isn’t how long it lasts — it’s the people you meet and the memories you bring home with you. 🎱❤️

**Captain Spotlight — Robert Wlodyka “Bob” **

Next up in our Vegas Captain Spotlights is **Robert “Bob” Wlodyka**, captain of **The Unbreakables — aka 9-Ballz Deep** —aka Family Matters (Vegas 2025) our 9-Ball team out of ALLPLaY Family Entertainment in Belfast. ❤️

And this one comes with a little history.

This was Bob’s **second year in a row** captaining a 9-Ball team representing Eastern Maine APA at the World Pool Championships in Las Vegas.

This year, The Unbreakables had to take the long road as they came through Second Chance Triannuals, working their way all the way up to earned their spot in Vegas, and then went on to have a great run once they got there.

But what makes this team special goes way beyond pool.

They’re a mix of family members and people who have simply become family. They’ve played together, traveled together, won and lost together, supported one another through real life, and now they have two back-to-back Vegas adventures to add to the stories they’ll be telling for years.

And at the center of it is Bob.

Captaining at this level means carrying all the usual responsibilities — watching matches, making decisions, encouraging your players, figuring out who gives the team its best chance and somehow still being ready when it’s your own turn at the table.

But this trip carried something even more personal for this group.

Bob’s wife, ** Pam Wlodyka ** , has been fighting cancer, and this team has wrapped itself around her in a pretty incredible way. They’ve proudly worn their **Team Pam** shirts, supported Bob and Pam throughout the journey, and even dedicated their qualifier win to her. ❤️

That tells you a whole lot about who these people are.

Bob, thank you for leading this crew back to Vegas, for representing Eastern Maine APA for the second year in a row, and for helping create another chapter in what has become a pretty special history for this team.

There are wins you remember because of the score.

And then there are the ones you remember because of **who was standing beside you when they happened.**

We have a feeling this team will remember this one for a very long time. ❤️

🎱 **Captain Spotlight — Melissa Whitcomb** 🎱

We’re finally making our way through all of our Vegas photos, and one thing became pretty obvious while looking through them — our captains deserve a little spotlight of their own. ❤️

So we’re starting with **Melissa Whitcomb**, captain of **Happy Little Accidents**, our 8-Ball team out of ALLPLaY Family Entertainment in Belfast.

There’s a lot that comes with being a captain at the World Pool Championships that most people probably never see.

You’re there to play, of course — but you’re also watching, thinking, strategizing, encouraging, answering questions, keeping track of what’s happening around you and trying to make the best decisions you can for your team.

And judging by some of these candid pictures, there is definitely a LOT going on inside a captain’s head. 😂

Melissa is exactly the kind of captain you want in that role. She’s supportive of her players, fair, dependable and someone who takes the rules seriously while always wanting things done the right way. She celebrates with her team, keeps an eye on everyone around her and steps up when her team needs her.

Then, when it’s her turn at the table, she has to somehow shut all of that off and just play pool. 🎱

Watching her in Vegas — whether she was shooting, cheering somebody on, studying a match or having one of those wonderfully serious “captain thinking” moments — made us appreciate even more what our captains take on.

Melissa, thank you for leading **Happy Little Accidents** and representing Eastern Maine APA in Vegas. We’re incredibly proud of you and very lucky to have you as part of our league family. ❤️

We are currently looking for players to fill an 8 Ball team out of Sammi's Family Entertainment Center in Waldoboro. We are also running an incentive program. Form a team with at least 4 brand new to APA players and recieve an APA branded Cue stick at week 7 of the session. APA focuses more on creating an environment where fun and being social is more important that winning. Come and join our ever growing family and make some great memories that last!
