The best ride person of the week is Igor from Kiev, Ukraine Czechoslovakia. Igor is a soaring pilot with many of hours soaring in a Blanik in the Ukraine. He smiled when asked about flying the 2-33 with ride pilot Chris Sanders, he said it flies like a toy! We enjoyed meeting Igor and he had a nice experience. The phone photo is of Igor's phone when he showed us the sport aviation field where he flew in the Ukraine. We could sense the memories.

This is a wonderful site for soaring and general aviation. Many buildings included - 3 hangars, 2 homes, and one office/clubhouse located in the middle of the strip. This is a LONG grass strip!

A group of pilots could get together! Develop this into a Airpark or just for personal use!

Cleaning out the hangar is a great feeling, having help from neighbors is even better. This engine box has been in the back of the hangar for over 10 years!

**Sold** to my friend in Florida .. :)

I have some chutes for sale - this one is $400.00.
Blue - MINI - date of manufacturer is 3/1999
Last packed in 2018, it has been stored inside the office in a climate-controlled room. It is a Para-Phernalia Harness, Container and chute. It is worth $400.00 because if you trade it in to Para Phernalia, they will give you $400 dollars credit towards a new chute. (I called the company, they are very nice.)
Shipping will be by UPS and probably around $39 to $59 dollars depending on where it is being shipped to within the US.
I will post in on the "glider for sale and parts" page as well.

Congratulations to the North Carolina Soaring Association. The club operates from Crooked Creek (7NC5) airport just south of Bunn, NC, East of Raleigh. N7537 is traveling to a new home with NCSA. N7537 will continue to help teach students the basics of flight and thermals. I am very happy that a club near us is benefiting from my retirement. I will post another 2-33 for sale shortly. Bon Voyage 7537, safe trip. Wishing you a safe journey ahead. Thanks to my neighbors, Chuck Raley and Eric, for their last-minute help, our tow pilot, Aaron Raley, for showing up to lend a hand, and Chip Elliot for pitching in at the last moment. All your help is deeply appreciated. The Crooked Creek Crew organized the trailer and trip and took possession of their new glider. Howard, Betty, and, of course, experienced Jim Angelou from NCSA worked all day to accomplish their goal.

We had a fun day flying yesterday. Three of us flew cross county, thanks to John Frye for towing us up! The wind was 12 to 16 kts out of the south, so the thermals were tricky, as the wind blows the hot rising air and therefore, the thermal is not formed in an upward column, but (slanted) more across the ground, air that is blown like smoke across the sky, downwind. The clouds were numerous, so much so that at one point in the day, they blocked the sun from reaching the ground and that is what is called overdeveloped. No sun reaching the ground, no heating, no hot air rising, no lift. Luckily, the atmosphere is always changing, and that is what makes the sport of soaring a challenge. The photo is of Bermuda High Glider field as I arrived back to Bermuda High after a 3 hour flight to Camden,SC and then to Wadesboro, NC and return.
