Ride of the week: Happy Birthday to Cindy DeEtte. Cindy came to the field in the past with family to celebrate her father's birthday on at least two occasions. Her father wanted a glider flight for a birthday present. DeEtte never went up in a glider to fly on these occasions, because it was her Dad's special day. July 18th is her special day. She spent it with us, going for a glider flight for the first time. Thanks to Chris Sanders for his enthusiasm in the role of ride pilot! Happy Birthday

The best ride person of the week is Igor from Kiev, Ukraine Igor is a soaring pilot with many of hours soaring in a Blanik in the Ukraine. He smiled when asked about flying the 2-33 with ride pilot Chris Sanders, he said it flies like a toy! We enjoyed meeting Igor and he had a nice experience. The phone photo is of Igor's phone when he showed us the sport aviation field where he flew in the Ukraine. We could sense the memories. Note: It has kindly been explained to me the difference in the countries now. Igor first mentioned Czech and the Ukraine. My knowledgeable friend clarified the proper names. Kiev is in Ukraine and Czechoslovakia was a different country until splitting into 2 separate countries Czech Republic and Slovakia

This is a wonderful site for soaring and general aviation. Many buildings included - 3 hangars, 2 homes, and one office/clubhouse located in the middle of the strip. This is a LONG grass strip!

A group of pilots could get together! Develop this into a Airpark or just for personal use!
