There are several Takedown tournaments coming up over the next few weeks:

Friday June, 17th there are 2. One in LeMars and 1 in Fremont, NE. Details and registration forms can be found on the predicament.com

Council Bluffs is having a Friday night lights take down tournament Friday July, 8th. Again registration and details can be found on the predicament.com

Keep grinding, there is no off-season...just preseason!

Summer wrestling makes winter champions. we had a State Champ, several state placers, national All-American finishers, state qualifiers and newcomers come out to a leg clinic with Coach Spencer yesterday. Great to see you all! Keep working on getting better Panthers!

Congrats to our DV youth wrestlers that competed in Aberdeen at the SDWCA State Championships; totaling 106 teams and 1,293 wrestlers participating. Very proud of you guys! Its been a long season and a hard grind, but all of that commitment has paid off. Enjoy your summer and we'll see you back on the mat in October

Make sure you get your wrestler registered for District 10 on trackwrestling by 03/03/2016 11:59 p.m. C.S.T. (taken straight from track)!!!! District 10 will be in Canton. Flyer to come asap. Remember the weight you qualify for at District 10 you will need to maintain until finals which is the first weekend in April.

If you want your wrestler to have the opportunity to wrestle for the Heartland Dual team, the tournament will NO longer take place. Have your wrestler sign up on track by Sat Feb 20th @10:00 pm. They will then contact you if you need to wrestle off before state qualifier in Pierre. Look for S I-90 qualifier on track. I believe the cost is $10. I do not know much about where the Heartland Dual team goes for tournaments, Hazen Bye is the gentleman you will need to contact for more information about that if you think your wrestler might be interested.

AAU District 10 is at Canton on Sat. March. 6th. Region 5 is at Brandon Valley on Sun March. 13th. And finals are in Aberdeen First weekend in April. Region 5 takes an extra Novice this year.

USA Wrestling has made last minute changes to how it is going to be ran. And due to fact they waited until a month out from when they wanted to have the tournament they had to cancel the State Championship. This year it will only be regional qualifying for the Heartland Dual team. There is only 1 age division- 1st-6th and the weights start at 50 and work up by 5's. So that means a 2nd grader could wrestle a 6th grader at some weights. If any body is interested in going check Dakota Grappler for the flyer.

Great tournament opportunity in 2 weeks. Wrestlers with 1 year+ experience are encouraged to wrestle. Those who are in their first year should wait a few more weeks to learn more about the rules and techniques but there are plenty of opportunities coming up.

We had a first practice today and everybody worked hard! Look forward to seeing everybody back next week.
For those wrestlers in their 2nd+ year (or the rookies ready to hit the mat) and are ready for tournaments there is a tournament coming up on Saturday November 7th at Woodbury Central High School in Moville, Iowa.
Tournaments are not required at all, but are a good way to gauge progress in your wrestlers. We will have tournament information here for easy access for everybody and to let everybody know who will be at what tournaments so that if you do want to go, you know if you'll have some fellow Panther wrestlers and parents there with you.
