An amazing day! 🚴🏼‍♂️☀️🌳

Thank you to all of the volunteers, sponsors, businesses, and community members who helped make BRAG 2026 happen. We also want to recognize the 8 veterans who rode with us this year as part of our first year offering free veteran registration!

We’re already looking forward to next year. Mark your calendars now for BRAG 2027: Saturday, May 29, 2027 👏

We have to BRAG a little after an event like that 👏

110+ riders took on Greene County for BRAG this weekend and we truly could not have asked for a better day ☀️🚴 The scenic roads and great stops to live music and a packed after party afterwards, it was such a fun way to kick off Memorial Day weekend in Jefferson!

Today especially, we also want to recognize the 8 veterans who signed up to ride this year. This was our first year offering free veteran registration, and we were honored to have them be part of the ride.

We’re incredibly thankful for all of the volunteers, sponsors, businesses, and community members who helped make the day happen. A huge thank you to Jefferson Telecom, The Public House, A&W, Bosshart Land Survey, Bike World, Wild Rose Casino, Greene County Conservation, HyVee, and Fareway for helping support this year’s ride.

We also want to recognize the volunteer planning team behind BRAG: Jamie Daubendiek, Dan Meythaler, Brent Gerzema, Sarah Bosshart, Emily Dyer, and the Jefferson Matters staff including Emily Rohner, Kevin Paulsen, and Matt Wetrich, plus so many others that helped the day of! Thank you for all of the behind-the-scenes work that helped make the ride happen.

And they’re off!

Over 100 riders are making their way through Greene County today for BRAG - Bike Ride Around Greene County, and we truly couldn’t have asked for better weather. ☀️

If you happen to be driving along the route today, please be extra cautious and keep an eye out for bikers on the road. The riders will stopping at several restaurants, like 209 Main, 30 Yard Line, and The Public House & Lounge, so be sure to give them a warm Greene County welcome if you see them!

Thank you to everyone helping make this a great day to explore the county, support local stops, and enjoy the ride. 🚲🌳☀️

A little preview of your BRAG pit stops 🍔

💥 Spring Lake - Great spot to slow down for a minute
💥 209 Main - Drink specials will be available, along with a quick rider-friendly menu to help keep everyone moving throughout the day.
💥 Dana - Water, snacks, and a porta-potty will be available for riders. Huge thanks to Hy-Vee for providing water and bananas and Fareway for supplying the granola bars!
💥 30 Yard Line - Stop in for food and drinks, including a pork tenderloin club lunch special, $4 vodka lemonades, and $2 pudding shots.
💥 The Public House & Lounge After Party from 4-6 pm - Wrap up the ride downtown with live music, food, and drinks. Each rider will receive one complimentary Busch Light, thanks to The Public House for being our beverage sponsor. 🍻 Prize drawings begin at 4:30 PM, and you must be present to win!

You can still sign up the morning-of, starting at 8:30 am until 9:30 am. We will also have a limited number of shirts available for $30 if you didn’t grab one yet. Be sure to download the Ride with GPS app ahead of time (thanks to Jefferson Telecom) so you’re ready to go on the route. We’re riding rain or shine, so come ready for a great day either way!

After hitting 37 miles, the BRAG After Party at will be at The Public House & Lounge 🚴🍻

Starting at 4:00 PM, riders can enjoy live music by Jessica McClintock (Heaning) until 6 pm, food, drinks, and one complimentary Busch Light thanks to The Public House for being our beverage sponsor! Prize drawings will begin at 4:30 PM. You must be present to win!

From 6-9 pm: Enjoy live music by Randy Burk and the Prisoners

- Registration opens at 8:30-9:30 am at Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County
- Ride begins at 9:30 am
- Stops along the ride include: Spring Lake, 209 Main, Dana, 30 Yard Line, and The Public House & Lounge
- After party starts at 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm (although, you can stay as long as you want!) at The Public House & Lounge with food, drinks, and live music. All BRAG riders will receive 1 complimentary Busch Light, thanks to our beverage sponsor - The Public House!
