30 seconds is all it takes for a toddler to drown. 30 seconds of sheer silence. No splashes, no screams....all hidden and silenced under the water. 30 seconds during a time they aren't supposed to be in or near the water is when it most often happens.

This is why constant, focused supervision, even in the hours after swim time, and during swim breaks.

This is why pool fences.

This is why survival skills like rolling to their back to float.

This is why, if you have to, CPR.

Drowning can happen to anyone. It happens even under the watchful eyes of careful parents. It CAN happen to your child too.
