Our good friend and dance teacher/partner, Cindy Kapila, is leaving Jefferson City next month. Join us at the Capital Ritz on Friday, May 29th, at the Dance Mix Party from 7 - 10 pm to give her a proper send off. Get in a last dance with her, or just come and let her know how much we will miss her.

The Rally is ready! Join us tomorrow afternoon (Sept. 13h) at the Capitol Rotunda for the final International West Coast Swing Rally performed by the Steppin' Out rally group. They have worked hard on this year's routine in the midst of many changes, so come over and support them if you can. They perform at 2:00 p.m.

Cindy, Kris, & I want to thank everyone who came out for the Retirement/Celebration dance Friday night, it was a full house. We feel blessed to have made so many friends over the years. Although we wish Don could have been there, we're certain he was watching. Dance creates a bond that's hard to understand until you experience it, building strong connections and lasting friendships. In light of the most recent events for Steppin' Out,
- the Friday night Fusion dance on the 15th is canceled.
- We still plan to attend the "SO retirement party" at the Capital Ritz on the 22nd.
- Thursday evening classes will continue for existing students until the end of the month when we will close.
* We are not accepting any new students at this time.

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce that Don Walker passed away this morning after a long battle with a number of health issues. Don has been our mentor for many, many years, both on the dance floor and off. Everyone he met became his friend. He will be deeply missed.
