Emma is playing in the MGT Girls Spring Shootout today and tomorrow at Oak Meadow Country Club, in Rolla Missouri. If you go to golf genius, you should be able to use this code (HVSYG4) to view the live scoring or else you can go to the MGA website and choose this tournament and view the live scoring as well. I will try to attach a link. Pretty solid start so far.

Sam is playing today in the Missouri Valley Invitational tournament in Marshall. This is the second day of a two day tournament.They played 36 holes on Monday. Sam ended up at 3 over par after two rounds and they will play an 18 hole round today. After 8 holes today, he is even par on the day, holding steady at plus 3 for the tournament. Sam is playing today in the William Woods Spring Invitational golf tournament. Sam had a rough first tournament and posted what I believe is his worst score as a college golfer. Very windy conditions and trouble off the tee led him to shoot a 77 on day one and a 78 on day two. As a result, he did not get to play in the qualifying round for the second tournament and was unable to compete in it. That tournament was canceled due to weather, so the third tournament basically replaced the second tournament. So this is only his second tournament of the spring season.

High winds amplified his troubles off the tee, which is why the first tournament results were not good. He has worked with Chris, his pro at Meadow Lake Acres, and hopefully fixed his troubles off the tee.

I’ll try to post Snapshots of his scorecard today. Hopefully he can get back to his old self.

This is the link for the live scoring for the Columbia College invitational tournament that Sam is playing in yesterday and today. Didn't play exceptionally bell yesterday. As far as ball striking goes but his chipping and putting was spot on. So he was able two save.What could have been a really difficult round. Winds were gusting and blowing hard all day with gusts, probably as much as thirty miles per hour at times. When you're struggling to get off the tee it even exaggerates that even more.
Don't want to speak too soon but it looks as if he's got a pretty solid round.Going had three birdies on the front side and I know he's got at least one birdie on the back. The albums spencer worley had a nice two under yesterday he lead all golfers at this time with two under par. Windy and tuff conditions again today as well.

So, Sam wrapped up the fall season in his sophomore campaign at William Woods.
It is absolutely crazy.The competition amongst the William Woods team alone.
There were 44 golfers on the William Woods men's golf team this season.
It was like a tournament every day fighting to qualify to compete against other schools.
Sam's stroke average, over the better part of the season, kept him, for the most part, in the top ten on his team.
The William Woods teams... 5 plus of them, we're mostly at the top of the heap in every tournament. He played several tournaments on the E Team. Coach said he paired the teams up so that every team would have a chance at success. In a few of the tournaments, the A team wasn't the team in the lead. So, what's next for Sam this off season?
With the simulator we have now, he has been spending a lot of time working on his ball striking. He told me yesterday he was heading up there... He said got to keep that grind set mindset. Anyone around golf or is avid about the sport knows exactly what that means. It means you got to grind it out every day. Golf is a sport that you can never stop working on your game or you will lose that edge.
He's in for a driver upgrade and some work with the pro on getting off the tee safely.
We have to get him fitted properly with his driver, and this will definitely shave strokes off his score. May not have a lot to post over the winter, but I will definitely let you know when the spring season kicks in and give updates on how his progress is going this spring. GO SAMMY! GO OWLS!

I'll just keep adding updates to the top of this post.
+3 after four holes.
A bit of a shaky start, but he typically plays this course pretty well. So I'm not concerned whatsoever.

Sam is playing in his final tournament this fall at Eagle Knoll Golf Course today.It is the William Woods Fall invitational. He just teed off on hole number 1. His tee shot is in a great position right center of the fairway. There is no live scoring today.So I will try to make it posts as frequently as I can.

Here's the link for Sam's live scoring for today. It's the final round of the Columbia College invitational tournament. At the Columbia Country Club. Sam is plus five so far for the tournament. Sam is doing pretty well.The scores are really high with the high winds today.

Sam finished the first day of the columbia cougars invitational tournament 4 strokes over par. He led the tournament for quite a while today at 2 under par. The winds picked up and he said he had a couple of drives missed the fairway and he got in a bit of trouble. He finished the day +4 which puts him in a tie for 13th place. My phone died today so I couldn't post as much as I wanted to. I'll try to be more prepared tomorrow. Go Sammy! Go Owls!

Her stats this year speak for themself!
Not listed: Emma also placed 7th in Conference to be named to the all Conference Team and Receive All-Conference honors.( just didn't have her A game that day)
Emma placed 9th in Districts to receive all district honors! ( Her ball striking was decent but just couldn't get the putts to fall)
And co-lead her team as a qualifier for the Missouri Class 2 State Championship Tournament.
