From annual treks to the infamous Mint 400 to the legendary SCORE International Off Road Championships at Riverside International Raceway, Jason's passion for becoming a racer grew. The pursuit of a college education, building a family, and a 17 year (and counting) military career temporarily sidetracked the pursuit of his dream but after reconnecting with the sport in 2009, Jason's passion was re
ignited. He and his wife NiKol purchased a 2004 Toyota Tacoma and formulated a 5 year plan to turn their daily driver in to a race truck. A cross country military move in late 2010 led to the decision to leave the truck in Las Vegas. A daily driver no more, "The Duece" became a full time race project. A military promotion and subsequent 6 month deployment provided the necessary capital to fund the build and the racing dream took another step closer to becoming a reality. In summer 2010, Jason and NiKol partnered with Khris Kading as lead fabricator and TaxPayer Funded racing was born. TPF Racing's Tacoma sports a stock 3.4L motor. The front suspension features a custom race kit built by MCM Fabrication from Las Vegas, NV. The rear suspension features Deaver Leaf springs with 18" of travel. The #2096 TPF Racing Tacoma made it's debut at the HDRA South Point Las Vegas 250 in January 2013. After a long day of battling some gremlins the truck crossed the finished line 7 minutes after the allotted time to be counted as an official finisher. Two months after the race Jason and NiKol moved to London, England for a new assignmen at the US Embassy. In spite of the trans Atlantic commute, TPF Racing will continue to participate in a limited schedule of races through 2016.
