Tier 2 passes also come with four 40%-off Buddy Passes, a $20 Pump House Buddy Pass, free Clips & Reels movie admission, reciprocal access at PGRI sister resorts and a few other surprises tucked into the coupon booklet. Canadian guests can also pay at par.

Last call to recognize the people who rarely ask for recognition.

Nominations for our third annual One Town celebration are closing soon, and we’re looking for the volunteers, organizers, neighbors and quiet doers who make the communities around Jay Peak better simply because they’re part of them.

Selected honorees and their nominators will join us October 13 for dinner, an overnight stay at Hotel Jay, gifts, prizes and a night built around giving a little back to the people who give so much.

Long before this weekend’s Trail Running Festival had seven races on the schedule, we were already asking why perfectly reasonable people willingly spend Labor Day running up and down a ski mountain.

Back in 2014, Jay Peak Magazine sat down with race organizer Chris Bernier to talk suffer fests, pickle juice, kids who stop mid-race to pick flowers and the particular kind of person who looks at 4,000 vertical feet and signs up anyway.

After spending the early part of summer chewing their way around the mountain, the Chew Crew has been enjoying a well-earned break. We’ve been anxiously awaiting their return ever since, and they’ll be back soon to begin their fall shift.

Which feels like a good time to pull this one from the archives and revisit the highly sophisticated operation behind our four-legged trail crew.

You can also meet the goats in person at the 17th Annual Bean & Brew Festival on Saturday, October 17. B**r, coffee, live music and goats. Fall has its priorities straight.
