Big things happening for former Pickens Dragon McCord Purdy at Mercer University! 🏈🧡🖤

McCord’s hard work is already paying off. After an impressive performance during football camps, he has earned additional scholarship money and continues to make an impact as a freshman.

He’s currently practicing with the second-team offense, earning opportunities to get reps with the first team, and seeing plenty of action with several special teams units.

And beyond what he’s doing on the field, McCord has already made an impression as a leader—being selected to Mercer Football’s Leadership Council as a freshman!

We couldn’t be prouder to see a former Dragon continuing to work, compete, and lead at the next level. Keep making Dragon Nation proud, McCord! 🐉🏈

Wrapped up 3 great days of our summer skills youth camp to finish out the summer. Lots of fun, buzzer beaters, prizes and getting better! Shoutout to our players, coaches, and families for making it happen. Thanks to the Pickens County Recreation Department for hosting us this week as well. Go Dragons!

Spots are still available for this summer! Deadline to register is July 17th!

Our camp will take place on July 22nd, 23rd, and 24th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM each evening at the Pickens County Recreation Department.

This camp is open to all rising Kindergarten through 6th grade students.

The cost is $90 for all three days, with an additional sibling able to attend for only $45.
