We would like to welcome Annabelle "A.B." Terry to our staff.
A.B. is a former collegiate softball player whose career took her to three nationally recognized programs: the University of Michigan, Auburn University, and Florida State University. Throughout her playing career, she established herself as an accomplished two-way athlete, excelling both on the field and in the classroom.
During her high school career at Spain Park High School, Terry earned numerous accolades, including 2021 Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year, 2021 Alabama Sports Writers Association Ms. Softball, 2021 ASWA Player of the Year, and ASWA Pitcher of the Year honors in 2018 and 2021. She was also recognized as a NFCA High School First Team All-American (2019, 2021), Extra Inning Softball First Team All-American (2019, 2021), and a 2021 MaxPreps First Team All-American.
Terry continued her softball career at Michigan, Auburn, and Florida State, where she earned Big Ten All-Tournament Team honors, CSC Academic All-District recognition in 2024, Plainsman Invite All-Tournament Team honors in 2023 and 2024, and Tiger Invitational All-Tournament Team honors in 2023. She was also recognized for her academic success as a Chi Alpha Sigma inductee and SEC Academic Honor Roll selection.
We are thrilled to add someone with her experience, accomplishments, and passion for the game to our staff. Please join us in giving A.B. a warm welcome!

We would like to welcome Maleah Smith to the staff.

Maeleah Smith is an educator, coach, and former collegiate softball player. As a Jasper, Alabama native, she was a member of the 2013 championship softball team at Parrish High School before moving to Mississippi and graduating from Wayne County High School.

During her high school career, she was a 2015 Hall of Fame Inductee, a two-time MHSAA All-State First Team selection (2014, 2015), a member of the 2014–2015 Dandy Dozen Mississippi Team, and helped lead Wayne County to a Mississippi State Runner-Up finish in 2014.
Smith continued her softball career at Jackson State University, where she earned a degree in Psychology and received numerous athletic honors, including 2019 Preseason All-SWAC Team, 2018 All-SWAC Second Team, 2018 Preseason All-SWAC Team, and 2018 Softball MVP.

Following college, Smith returned to Wayne County High School, where she spent five years teaching and coaching, helping student-athletes develop both on and off the field while continuing her passion for education and athletics.
