Race recap- points race #4 - NGQMA

▪️▪️Sr Honda ▪️▪️
Heat: P2 > P2
Luke started strong with 1st and 2nd pulling away from the pack showing some good speed.

Feature: P2 > P3
We knew adjustments need to be made, but didn't want to over do it. We should have gone with the original plan because the car tightened up and slowed down. Luke held strong in 3rd place. Luke gave dad some data that we can work on to make it right.

Heat: P2 > P3
This car is still in the learning process. Given this is the second race in the car, Luke did good.

Feature: P3 > P3
Luke was told to go learn and take it easy. We just wanted to gain information and get seat time. Luke did as he was asked and gave dad info on how the car handled abd what's needed so we can adjust for the next race.

Happy father's day to the best race dad I could ever ask for, Jeremy Millsaps.

My dad works tirelessly for me so I can race. I appreciate all the time, dedication, and work he puts into letting me race on Saturday.

It's not just a 1 day thing, he works all week long making sure everything is good to race. I may not help my dad that much, but he's teaching me more than I could ever do for him. I mean how many 9 year old do you know that can take tires off, check air pressure, strap a car down, back a trailer up or even drive a race car? All of this MY dad has been the one to teach me. Learning life lessons as a kid with my dad is something I will remember forever!

Thank you dad for being my crew chief, teacher, support, mentor, mechanic, and most importantly my best friend. I love you dad!

After what feels like forever, we're finally bringing the cars back to our home track! 🏁💚

This weekend, Luke Millsaps Racing is back at NGQMA in Cu***ng, GA, and we're excited to be racing local again!

📅 Saturday, June 20th, 🕘 Racing starts at 9:00 AM,📍 North Georgia Quarter Midget Association – Cu***ng, GA

If you're in the area, come out and cheer on all of the young racers. We can't wait to be back where it all started and see everyone at the track!

It was a good weekend for Luke Millsaps Racing!

We started the long hot 🥵 morning with practice on the Sr Animal car. At the start of practice we looked like a tornado spinning out so much 🌪. After regrouping and getting some setup help from Dilworth, we were able to pull it together.

Sr Honda Heat:
P5 ➡️ P4

Sr Animal Heat:
P4 ➡️ P3

Based off heats, here is how the A-Main's stacked up.

Sr Honda:
P4 ➡️ P2
Luke was very patient and made some good clean passes. This was a good race to watch between all the driver's.

Sr Animal:
P3 - P3
To start this race Luke was told to take it easy, and ride it out behind 1 & 2, and that this was just going to be a learning lesson for him.
When the race started Luke was on fire and by lap 3 already made a pass and held 2nd place until 2 lasps to go. Luke grazed the wall and killed his speed allowing 3rd to get around him. Luke didn't have the time to make the position up and ended with 3rd.

We are very impressed with the way Luke handled everything this weekend. We are so happy to see that growth turning point and can't wait to see how the rest of the season goes.
