Labyrinth
11:00AM to 1:00PM
Fire Horse Yoga, in collaboration with Raptors Rise Rehabilitation Center, is proud to offer a free educational event to the public!
Meet us at The Labyrinth downtown (just off the Riverwalk) at 11:00 AM for an hour long presentation on the wondrous birds of prey native to our state. Get up close and personal views of the majestic Education/ Ambassador birds as Lola and her team help us understand their place in the ecosystem and how we can help keep their populations healthy and thriving!
Immediately following the presentation, a walking meditation at The Labyrinth is encouraged for all ecology-minded persons.
By gathering, learning, and sharing ideas with one another, we truly become community. ✨
Raptors Rise is a registered Nonprofit Organization. Please follow them and SHARE on socials! ♥️
***** Meet The Handlers *****
Often times I mention names, but rarely do I post pictures of the handlers. This is the main team, these are the handlers who do the presentations. Meet Melissa, on the left, that's me Lola, in the middle, and Kim is on the right.
I have wanted to do pictures for a long time. Not for any reason other than I want to remember this special time in our lives! We have so much fun together and we love what we've been chosen to do. We are privileged and we know it ! And we love it.
I want to give a big shout out to our friend and patient photographer, Katlin Phillips. Katlin owns KCP Creative Imagery. She is very talented and very easy to work with. We were not an easy group. The bigger birds did not want to cooperate and we humans couldn't stop laughing at their antics. Poor Katlin probably had to edit a bazillion shots to find the best ones.
I'll post some behind the scenes shots tomorrow. They are funny ! Turns out that wild birds are much like toddlers when it comes to getting their picture taken! Life is good !
