This is EXCITING! For so long Texas has been sending collegiate level athletes out of state, now we can keep them in TX. 🩷👌🏼🥳🇨🇱
🏆 TEXAS IS ON THE MOVE.
For decades, Texas has been the heart of American gymnastics.
Our state has produced Olympic Champions, World Champions, NCAA Champions, and some of the most influential athletes, coaches, and programs in the history of the sport. From Carly Patterson to Nastia Liukin to Simone Biles, Texas has long been a powerhouse in gymnastics.
Now, a new chapter begins.
Texas State University has announced the launch of Women's Gymnastics at the NCAA Division I level, creating new opportunities for future generations of Texas gymnasts.
This announcement represents more than a new team. It means more opportunities for student-athletes, more scholarships, more coaching positions, more visibility for the sport, and continued growth for gymnastics throughout our state.
Combined with the continued success of Texas Woman's University and the recent addition of gymnastics at McMurry University, the momentum for collegiate gymnastics in Texas has never been stronger.
This is a historic moment for our sport.
The impact of this decision will be felt throughout Texas gymnastics for decades to come, and the young women of Texas will be the greatest beneficiaries.
History is being made in gymnastics country.
Texas is on the move. ⭐
