Reminder that the Parent/Athlete Meeting is THIS Wednesday at 7pm in the JWP Auditorium! Only new athletes must attend. If you’re planning on joining the team this fall, registration is open. Get signed up before it closes Monday, September 7th at NOON! No late submissions can be accepted.

We just finished up the spring season and now it’s time to start thinking about fall! If you’re a new athlete interested in joining, fall is the perfect time to start- it’s a shorter season, and much calmer. For those interested, please send us a message so we can get you on the list when we start sending information out.

Carter did a great job again with another score of 97/100 for today, landing him in 151st place. He also added two additional 25 straight patches to his growing collection!

It’s incredibly tough competition shooting with some of the best in the nation, but these three put up phenomenal scores. Cody and Janessa ended their high school careers placing 648th with a score of 93 and 1668th with a score of 77, respectively. Carter ended the day with a score of 97, putting him in 127th. Carter will also move into the next round tomorrow joining the other top 403 athletes for the final round. The top 404, had scores of 95+! You have all done an amazing job representing the Bulldog Clay Target Team, and we couldn’t be more proud of your accomplishments!

Now that scores are official- of the roughly 850 athletes that participated yesterday, we had a few athletes rank in the top 50.
In the Varsity- Male category:
9th- Paul Schmit (98- only missing two birds the whole day!)
41st- Cody Wiederhoeft (94)
44th- Carter Wiederhoeft (93)

In the Varsity- Female category:
20th- Maddie Lueck (88)
30th- Ella VanErdewyk (83- Reverse Run of 8 to break tie)
31st- Janessa Carstensen (83- Reverse Run of 5 to break tie)

In the Jr. Varsity- Female category:
39th- KayleeAhna Berg (72)

Categories are determined by the athlete’s average during the competition season.
Novice: 0-14.99 average per round
Junior Varsity: 15-18.99 average per round
Varsity: 19-25 average per round

After a few weather delays in the morning, we were thankful the storms missed us in the afternoon and allowed us to finish the rest of our rounds. We put up some good scores, but it wasn’t enough for us to place. However, we did have quite a few 25 straights! Congratulations Cody Wiederhoeft, Carter Wiederhoeft, Paul Schmit (earning two), and Noah Meyer (earning his first patch ever)!

Thank you to everyone that took the trip up to Alexandria and made the most of the weather we had.

Spring season! Every year we continue to get better and we couldn’t do it without our amazing helpers, athletes, and parents! Hope to see everyone back in the fall!

We’re all set up and ready for the day! We’ll be on field WP, starting around 9:30. Hopefully the day stays dry and we put up some good scores! Wish us luck!
