The Janesville Wildcats are one win away from punching their ticket to the 2026 IHSAA State Baseball Tournament as they take on the North Linn Lynx in the Class 1A Substate 5 Final!

⚾️Congratulations to the Wildcats for beating East Buchanan 5-2 in the district final game & moving onto the Substate game vs North Linn!

⚾️Substate will be played on Tuesday July 14th 7pm vs North Linn at Independence

Another great week for our Wildcat Baseball team!

JV & V went undefeated finishing the week combined 8-0!

Varsity is currently 17-1
JV is 14-2

⚾️Wildcat Varsity baseball finished last week 5-0 & JV finished 4-1

Monday @ Clarksville V at 5; JV after
Wednesday Home vs Rockford V at 5; JV after
Thursday Home JJV vs Columbus 10am
Thursday Home vs Colo-Nesco V at 5; JV after
Friday @ Dunkerton V at 5; No JV game

⚾️The Wildcat Varsity team broke the school record for most consecutive wins in a row and are on a 12 game winning streak entering this week!

Week 3 of Wildcat Baseball

⚾️Wildcats hosted the Raiders on 6/1 and walked away with a 11-1 6 inning Win!
Jones batted 3 runs in going 2 for 4
Our offense had 8 walks and stole 4 bases
Cael Coffman got the win with zero hits, zero runs & striking out 5!

⚾️Wildcats traveled to Gilbertville on 6/3 to take on the #8 Don Bosco Dons
Trevor Santee struck out 11 batters while getting the win!
Grant Destival & Brady Eastman both had 2 hits
Offense was patient at the plate with 9 walks
Wildcats & Dons took it to 8 innings where the Wildcats came out on top with a thriller win 4-2!!

Thursday & Fridays games were postponed due to weather

Wildcat Baseball season is here!!

Great start to the 2026 season

⚾️Wildcats won season opener vs North Tama 14-3
Talan Pletz drove in 4 runs off 2 hits
Trevor Santee earned the win allowing just 2 hits & 2 runs
Brendan Meaney came in relief to secure the Wildcat victory!

⚾️Tough conference loss to Riceville 4-8
Cael Coffman led the Wildcats with 2 runs batted in going 2 for 4
Unfortunately the Wildcats fell short to Riceville

⚾️Home opener vs Clarksville Wildcats pull out the victory 5-2 with Grant Destival tying the school record with 13 strikeouts in a game!
Santee Jones & Eibey each had 2 hits
Santee Coffman Jones Eastman & Pletz each drove in a run for the Wildcats

⚾️Wildcats finished off the week traveling to Rockford and went home with a 21-5 win over the Rockford Warriors!
Wildcats as a team had 17 hits
Santee had 4 hits
Pletz drove in 4 runs
Destival Eastman Barnes & Eibey each collected multiple hits.
Pletz & Coffman combined pitched a 1 hitter
Pletz had 10 strikeouts & Coffman had 3

⚾️Looking ahead to next week!
Wildcats are home Monday vs Dunkerton
Team will travel to Don Bosco on Wednesday & Saint Ansgar on Thursday
Closing out the week with a Home game Friday vs Colo Nesco
