Babes of Wrath

Chautauqua County Roller Derby (CCRD) is Chautauqua County’s first flat track roller derby league for women. Our premier team, The Babes of Wrath, is comprised of 20 women, ages 18+ who have dedicated themselves to a love of roller derby. We have women from all walks of life; mothers, teachers, chefs, artists, musicians and everything in between, many of whom hadn’t been on skates since childhood. Over the past year we have become sisters in our goals to form a team, athletes in our abilities to train and learn the basic skills of roller derby and entrepreneurs in our aims to spread our passion for the sport throughout Chautauqua County and beyond. The Babes of Wrath will be taking written and physical skill requirement testing through the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association in March to earn rights to team insurance and neighboring team play. We strongly encourage women who are looking to increase confidence, athleticism and social wellness to contact CCRD. We have several opportunities for participation available including skating player positions (women ages 18+), skating referee positions (men & women ages 18+), non-skating officials (men & women ages 18+), sponsorship opportunities, off skate volunteer options and much much more. The CCRD is eager to continue the search for upcoming players for additional teams and to continue to spread the word of the success of our upstart organization throughout our community.
