With a heavy heart I must announce, our great friend, karate instructor, mentor, Soke, the founder of Zen-Ryu , Grandmaster of this style. has passed from this life to the next.
He was a tremendous human being, a special friend to so many. His stories in class are truely epic! about flying in the Korean War, being a guard for a jail, learning from and running previous Dojos, being on the USA team with super foot Wallace and Chuck Norris..... but he truly loved being of service, passing down knowledge of karate and self-defense, and participating with the honor guard for Veteran's funerals.
I am so incredibly proud and honored to have known him in this life, and to have him as a loved and respected father figure, helping me to grow in experience, knowledge wisdom, in martial arts and in life.
