Our friends over at The Wild W's Petting Zoo will be bringing out some of their adorable farm animals for everyone at Fall Festival to visit with! There will also be free rides, pet adoptions available on site, delicious food trucks, axe throwing, a cake walk, and more!

Join us, September 13th at Hines Farm Park and Stables to kick off the Second Sunday Series. There will be a Guided Wagon Ride, a tour of the new Nature Cabin, and ice cream all for only $5. This will start our series of Guided Wagon Rides and Nature Cabin tours every second Sunday of the month, brought to you in conjunction with .

Celebrating 50 Years of Parks and Recreation! 🌳🎉⛹️‍♂️

Onslow County Parks & Recreation turned 50 years old today and we celebrated with a small flag raising ceremony at Onslow Pines Park. The ceremony was a nod to the official opening of Onslow Pines Park in 1976, which began with the National Anthem and the raising of the flag.

Thank you to Southwest High School Marching Band for providing the music and to our Advisory Board Members for attending. Special thanks to our staff who help maintain the 13 parks throughout the County and plan programming for all residents to enjoy. Stay tuned for more events throughout the year while we celebrate our Golden Anniversary!
