Join us at the Illinois College Athletics Golf Classic on August 7, 2026 at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield, Illinois!

We’re inviting parents, families, alumni, friends, and supporters of Illinois College Cross Country & Track & Field to put together a team and enjoy a great day on the course while supporting our student-athletes.

🏆 Congratulations to Melvin Hodge, recipient of the William J. Downer Award as Illinois College’s Outstanding Male Student-Athlete of the Year for the 2025-26 athletic year!

The William J. Downer Award has been presented annually since 1967 to recognize the College’s top male student-athlete.

Hodge’s remarkable 2025-26 season included:

• 🥇 First-Team All-American (Hammer Throw) – 7th at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships
• 🥈 Second-Team All-American (Weight Throw) – 10th at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships
• 🏆 Midwest Conference Outstanding Field Performer (Indoor Championships)
• 🥇 Midwest Conference Champion – Weight Throw
• 🥇 Midwest Conference Champion – Hammer Throw
• 🌟 USTFCCCA All-Region (Indoor)
