As many already know, the Giants are not participating in the ABA this season, and will use this time to focus on the organization's future and the 2023-2024 season. The past 12 years in the ABA have created many lasting memories for our organization and fans and we have truly lived up to the promises made by the Giants' owner, Ron Sholes, back in October of 2010, to be winners on and off the court.
The Giants have been the winningest franchise in ABA history, with 12 consecutive Final Four appearances, 9 championship appearances and 7 championship victories, including wins over South Carolina, Dallas, Chicago, Miami and Austin.
The team has also been winners off the court with their charitable efforts and work in the Northeast Florida local school systems. The Giants' players and staff have made appearances in dozens of schools each year since 2010 and as many as 100 visits some seasons, spreading their message about the importance of reading (as part of the team's Books 4 Baskets program) and anti-bullying campaign (as part of the ABA's Bullys are Cowards initiative).
