Jacksonville Speedway Hall of Fame This page is to promote the history of racing held at the Morgan County Fairgrounds in Jacksonville. Past and Present - Wayne Stearns Track Historian

I have traced racing at this track back to 1949. When COVID hit I had to stop searching Jacksonville Journal Courier archives. I plan to start again sometime this winter. I have started compiling a list of every driver. My list is over 2,500 and I am sure I haven't come close to finishing this.

Reminder Jacksonville Speedway will not be racing tomorrow night But they will be racing September 25th and October 2nd

County Line Speedway is going to have some racing karts on display under the grandstands So come at 5:30 and check them out before the races I will also have a display for Carolyn and racing items I am selling for others

It's finally the week for the Carolyn Schuh Memorial - this year paying $6,000 to win for the MOWA Sprints! Thanks to everyone that has supported this event over the past 5 years and helping it grow into one of the biggest regional sprint car events in the Midwest. A race everyone in all classes truly enjoys participating in to honor Carolyn.

Don't hold me to these payouts because the details fluctuate as more sponsors step-up. But as of late last week it looked like this:

$6,000 to win 410 Sprints
1,250 to win 305 Sprints
$600 to win Modifieds
$600 to win Sportsman
$550 to win Street Stocks - likely group qualifying for Streets by request from a class that has been extremely supportive this year.

I'll round up complete payouts later this week. As always for this event - we don't raise the price beyond a normal MOWA event due to supporters having raised extra payout. $20 Adult Admission/$40 Pit Pass as usual for a MOWA Show.
