I’ve always wanted a wrestling company to do something like this before a massive match, and man… AEW absolutely killed it.

The emotion we felt.
The sheer energy in the building.
The anticipation.
The atmosphere.

This is what pro wrestling is all about. AEW made this feel like something truly special, and you could feel every ounce of it.

Bryan Alvarez reports he’s been told the injury Nigel McGuinness suffered during the Continental Challenge Cup was legitimate.

AEW incorporated the injury into the tournament storyline, and Nigel ultimately fought through it to successfully compete in the finals at Wembley Stadium.

AEW is so incredible with the little details they put into their matches. Both Nigel and Kenny told a story last night.

Kenny’s wing got clipped, but he refused to give up. He fought with so much pride, hanging on until every last second in that ring. He didn’t want to simply give up, he wanted to fight until there was nothing left.

And Nigel’s 34-year journey came full circle. He was literally fingertips away from saving himself, refusing to quit even when his dream was slipping away. In the end, he had to tap out in front of 45,000+ people in his home land of England.

That’s what makes AEW so poetic in ways I haven’t seen in wrestling in a long time.

They don’t just tell you a story. They bring the story to you. They make you feel like you’re right there inside of it, experiencing every emotion alongside these wrestlers.

That’s wrestling. Beautiful s**t.
