quat exercises are great for a total lower body workout. They effectively work most of the major muscle groups of the butt, hips and thighs. Squats are also a versatile exercise. They can be done in almost any location, with or without the use of weights or equipment.

Tones the Legs

Squat exercises thoroughly engage the quadriceps, hamstrings and calf muscles, which helps to tone and strengthen the legs. Slowing the motion down makes the workout that much more intense.

Lifts the Butt

High-intensity interval training (HIIT) describes any workout that alternates between intense bursts of activity and fixed periods of less-intense activity or even complete rest. For example, a good starter workout is running as fast as you can for 1 minute and then walking for 2 minutes. Repeat that 3-minute interval five times for a 15-minute, fat-blasting workout. It sounds too simple to be effective, but science doesn't stretch the truth.

Egg whites contain all of the essential amino acids your body needs each day to perform day-to-day functions and maintain your muscle mass. According to the USDA, one large egg white provides you with 3.6 grams of high-quality protein; increasing your portion to four large egg whites would give you 14.4 grams of complete protein. The Institute of Medicine recommends men get at least 56 grams and women eat at least 46 grams of protein each day.

The Power of Protein
The moment it leaves your fork, protein starts winnowing your waistline. High-protein foods take more work to digest, metabolize, and use, which means you burn more calories processing them. They also take longer to leave your stomach, so you feel full sooner and for a longer amount of time. The cumulative effect has obvious benefits for anyone who is watching her weight.

In a study published in Nutrition Metabolism, dieters who increased their protein intake to 30 percent of their diet ate nearly 450 fewer calories a day and lost about 11 pounds over the 12-week study without employing any other dietary measures.

Its Labor Day weekend and we all know that the BBQs will be going one with the family ect. here are some healthy steps to take.

1. Portion Control - be mindful of your portion when eating this weekend. don't over eat, keep your portion moderate.

2. EXTRAS - Be mindful of the extra items you add like salt pepper and things like mustard. Remember most of these food have already been seasoned. Eating to much of the extras will cause your body to retain water weight making you look bigger.3

3. Alcohol - is and always be a no no when the fitness world, but as imperfect humans we are going to do it. When drinking this weekend try not to add to chasers like Sodas ect. Its already bad that your drinking so don't make it worst by adding extra sugars. Drinking strait will not only get you where your trying to go but will also stop you from over consuming.

4. Don't skip workouts - do some of your tough workouts this weekend doing this will help your body burn more calories.
