I believe that the most inspiring teachers are the ones that aren’t afraid to show their humannesses. Or maybe they ARE afraid, and still do it anyway. The teachers who inspire me the most don’t pretend to have all the answers, and they aren’t really striving to have them. They are the ones who are walking side-by-side with everybody else, stumbling along with the rest of us, and choosing to return to love over and over again.

I have always loved the beautiful story behind the Rudraksha seed.

The name Rudraksha is often translated as “the tears of Shiva.” It is said that Shiva once opened his eyes and looked upon the suffering of the world. His heart was overcome with compassion, and tears fell from his eyes. Where those tears touched the earth, Rudraksha trees began to grow.

I’ve been making these Rudraksha necklaces by hand, inspired by this story and the intention it carries of letting the things that break our hearts also open them.

I have a small collection available now if one speaks to you. 🤍
