Today marks a special day for Zach Morris who is one of PDP’s hardest working and longest tenured trainees to this date. After trying out twice, Zach has made the region IV ODP team. I asked him what made him continue on after not making the team twice. Zach’s response was, “I knew with every mistake or failure comes a chance to learn and grow. I knew I had a great opportunity to use each tryout as an opportunity to evaluate my strengths and weaknesses and continue to get better. I also tried to use the failed attempts to drive me to take on extra work.” I asked Zach if he was scared of failing for the third time. Zach responded by saying, “I was nervous to tryout but I knew I had done so much extra work away from regular practice that I was confident I could perform in the moment on a big stage.”
Zach has been a great trainee in the Player Development Program through his constant work rate, drive, positive attitude, willingness to train to the edges of his ability, yet always staying humble in who he is. PDP just wants to say Congratulation to Zach Morris for making his Region IV ODP pool team.
