🖤💛 PLEASANT VALLEY RAIDER RUN — WHAT A DAY FOR LINCOLN CROSS COUNTRY! 💛🖤

Today was a BIG step forward for our Lincoln Cross Country program! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

🖤💛 GIRLS TEAM 💛🖤
Our girls started the day by putting together multiple PRs and showing just how much progress they’ve made since last week.

We finished 7th out of 13 teams overall, while also taking 4th in the Small Schools Division, finishing just 3 points behind Boaz but beating them in the overall by meet by 2 points.

The finish may have looked similar to last week on paper, but make no mistake — the improvement from last week was HUGE! 📈

A special shoutout to our girls who recorded career PRs today:

👏 Carter Peters

🖤💛 BOYS TEAM — BACK-TO-BACK CHAMPS! 💛🖤

Our boys came into today’s race projected to finish 3rd overall, behind Southside and Alexandria.

Instead, our guys came together, raced with confidence, and got the job done — winning the meet and making it BACK-TO-BACK MEET WINS to open the 2026 cross country season! 🏆🏆

We also had two athletes finish in the Top 10 overall:

🥈 Konner Parham — 2nd Overall
4️⃣ Noah Colley — 4th Overall

Our remaining scoring five who helped secure the team victory were:

The Wildcat Kickoff Trophy has officially been placed on lockdown. 🏆🔒

After being proudly displayed in the middle of the hallway intersection for all students to admire, Coach Colley has taken her job as Head of Trophy Security VERY seriously. 😂

🏆 THE DUB IS COMING HOME TO LINCOLN! 🏆

LEHGOOOO……What a way to kick off the 2026 cross-country season! The Lincoln Boys Cross-Country Team took home the DUB at the Wildcat Kickoff today!

Not only did our boys win the Large School Division, but they also won the OVERALL MEET, defeating No. 1-ranked 3A White Plains on their home course! 🔥

This was an incredibly stacked field, with right around 8 teams ranked in their respective classifications to start the season. Our guys showed up and competed from start to finish!

👏 Congratulations to:
🥉 Noah Colley — 3rd Overall
🏅 Konner Parham — 5th Overall

Both were recognized with T-shirts, and Noah also received a medal for his Top-3 finish!

And our Lincoln Girls deserve a HUGE shoutout! 💪❤️ We had 10 girls race today, and only ONE had ever competed in a 5K before. With two of our top five runners out, they still battled their way to a 4th-place overall finish!

Watch out for these girls this season. 👀 When we get back to full strength, they are going to turn A LOT of heads!

There is something special about this team. From our athletes and coaching staff to our families and the entire Lincoln community, there’s something in the air this season.

Today was just the beginning.

2026 is going to be a GREAT one.

Huge Shout-Out to Our Lincoln Cross Country Supporters! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Lincoln Cross Country wants to give a HUGE shout-out to two amazing supporters for their generous support of our runners today!

🎉 First up, the Gibsons!
Thank you so much for sponsoring our first weekly giveaway! Every runner received a snack bag packed with electrolyte drinks, protein bars, and other snacks to help fuel them for this weekend.

We absolutely LOVE the phrase you shared with the team:

What a perfect reminder as our runners get ready for their first meet! Thank you for helping our athletes feel supported and ready to run!

We’re kicking off Phase 1 of our in-season running plan this week! Here are a few important updates for runners and parents:

🏃 RUNNING PLAN
• Phase 1 begins this week.
• Incomplete recovery between sets.
• Check Strava for workout details.

⏰ PRACTICE
• Practice is 3:20–4:50 PM.
• Please make sure transportation is arranged and on time for pickup each day.

📅 THIS WEEK
• We will meet together after school Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
• Friday–Sunday will be on your own.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 MANDATORY PARENT MEETING
• Thursday at 5:00 PM
• Coach Duff’s room
• Each runner must have someone attend.
