ORLANDO 👉 IRELAND….

The saying “teamwork makes the dream work” couldn’t be more fitting.

At the 2026 Foyle Cup, Good Lad Soccer was proud to work with the stars & staff of Stars Academy in Orlando. This was a genuine alignment of values & standards.

Together, we had 6 Orlando based players & 2 coaches make the journey to Ireland to compete on the international stage:

BACK IN THE OFFICE

Ireland was incredible, the memories were even better, and now it’s time to get back behind the computer! 💻📸

I’m officially back in the office and diving into ALL the photos from an unforgettable soccer tournament with Good Lad Soccer. ⚽️🇮🇪

There are so many moments to go through—big plays, big emotions, celebrations, teammates, coaches, and memories these kids will hopefully carry with them for years to come. ❤️

I can’t wait to start sharing some of what I captured while we were across the pond! 🌎✈️

In 1992, the Foyle Cup began with a simple vision - one day, one venue, 16 matches and two trophies. Few could have imagined what it would become.

Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey with us. We hope to see you all back again next year.

✅ THAT’S A WRAP….

The 2026 Foyle Cup is officially in the books!

To all our GLS stars & staff: it’s time to pack away the GLS gear and enjoy your final few days as tourists in Ireland before heading back to the States.

Our next GLS staff planning meeting is scheduled for August 10th. Once the final details are 100% confirmed, we’ll be announcing our winter tournament schedule.

The Team GLS movement continues to grow stronger, and we’re just getting started!

✅ THAT'S A WRAP!

After months of planning, preparation, and more than a few sleepless nights, the 2026 Foyle Cup has come and gone in the blink of an eye.

This is our final 2026 Ireland check-in, and we're leaving feeling proud, grateful, and more motivated than ever. We appreciate everyone that played their role.

Our next GLS staff meeting takes place on August 10th. Once all the final details are signed off, we'll be releasing our winter schedule, and we can't wait for you to be part of the ever growing GLS movement!

🎤 FEEDBACK TIME…

Taking 70 players and a total travelling party of 220 to the Foyle Cup is quite the undertaking. We thank the person who invented Google Docs & Excel Spreadsheets! 😅

🫡 THE INTERNATIONAL CAPTAINS OF GLS….

Every organization needs strong leaders if it’s going to succeed. We kept this in mind every time we took to the field in the Foyle Cup.

We wanted to take a second to shine the light on our 5 leaders. We ask our captains to show all the grit, determination, desire, and confidence to push on that is synonymous with the GLS logo.

Not an easy task at any age, but these guys get our plaudits:

The 2026 Foyle Cup is officially in the books. What a week it was. For Team GLS it was 38 games, across 5 teams, over 6 days. We are shattered but feeling so accomplished.

🔥 PURE PASSION…

This year was the first time we have brought a 2014 Girls team to an international tournament and to say they captured the local support at the Foyle Cup would be an understatement!!

This squad consisted of girls from Orlando and the four corners of Jacksonville & St.Johns County and they all came together to form one unit almost immediately.

Check out the comments. These future GLS legends even summoned the support of onlooking Irish teams due to their fast & exciting style of play!

🇺🇸 ALL AMERICAN ENERGY…

We have received hundreds, maybe even over a thousand pictures this week of GLS in action. And this one really stands out.

After a whopping 38 games across 5 teams over 6 days, we are all shattered and running on fumes. Then you see Michael Carrasquillo running across the field carrying that all important American flag to be a part of our Foyle Cup tournament winning celebrations.

That famous all American energy right through the finishing line!
