“How bad do you want it?”

A question I feel as if it is asked frequently but is usually dismissed because the audience doesn’t see what it truly looks like. Finding that drive to push through uncomfortable situations to achieve a goal can be taught and refined, it is not a skill only certain individuals have.

I failed this lift six times prior to this video and refused to quit because it wasn’t my physical ability holding me back, it was my mindset. Once I corrected how I saw the situation I was overcome those obstacles and push for what I wanted, and that moment it was completing this weight. I knew I was capable of completing this movement and stated to believe it more and more once I cleared my head of any mental blocks I placed. At the point of catching this weight I knew that it was time to give it all I had to achieve this lift and not crumble because it was difficult. Take time to ensure your mindset is correct and mentally rehearse the movement before you give up.

I learned last year how to rely less on equipment and do more of what my body can do alone. I surrounded myself with amazing people and put work in everyday. Although I did not have any equipment with me and was wearing my uniform, I still hit an all time PR of 205lbs. My nutrition options were not the best but I did what I could with what was available, not making any excuses! Keep showing everyday no matter what and give it your all! Thank you for keeping me honest !
