We’re still waiting for an ASW decision in October, but this case could open the doors for law abiding gun owners. Combined with the right decision in October we may finally enjoy freedoms protected by the second amendment here in Illinois!

🚨 HUGE WIN FOR GUN OWNERS 🚨

A federal judge in the Northern District of Texas just ruled major parts of the National Fi****ms Act unconstitutional — specifically the registration requirements for suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and AOWs.

The reasoning: once the “One Big Beautiful Bill” zeroed out the NFA tax on these items last year, Congress lost the constitutional basis (its taxing power) for the paperwork, fingerprinting, and registration scheme that went with it. No tax, no justification for the red tape.

Judge Hendrix’s ruling in Jensen v. ATF / Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF is a massive step toward gutting the 1934 NFA for good.

⚠️ Not final yet — the ruling is stayed 7 days to let the DOJ appeal, and it currently applies to the named plaintiffs and their members/customers, not the whole country. Expect this to head to the 5th Circuit fast.

Still — after 90+ years, a federal court just said “no tax, no authority.” That’s history in the making. 🇺🇸

Sometimes you need to step back and enjoy the small moments. Even though the actual act of fishing lasted about 2 casts and about 7 minutes. It seems that slowing down doesn’t happen to often for our family very often this time of year. I’ll take every small excursion that I can.

Who’s going to snag one?

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) has announced that surplus M14 rifles will be made available for sale, with the first orders expected to be fulfilled between late 2026 and early 2027.
Before being sold, each rifle will be permanently and irreversibly converted to semi-automatic operation only. The CMP says the modified rifles will comply with federal law authorizing the transfer and sale of eligible surplus .30-caliber military rifles to qualified U.S. citizens.
