**SUCCESS IN THE 4X4X48 CHALLENGE DOESN’T START WITH YOUR FIRST RUN.**
**IT STARTS WITH THE PLAN YOU MAKE BEFORE IT.** 🔥
Like any big goal, 4x4x48 requires more than motivation. When the miles add up, sleep gets interrupted, and your legs get heavier every round, **having a plan becomes everything.**
🏃♀️ **PLAN YOUR ROUTE**
Choose a route that is **safe, accessible, and sustainable.** You’ll run it repeatedly, so think beyond what looks good on paper. Consider lighting, terrain, bathrooms, water, traffic, and what will keep you motivated when you’re tired.
🍌 **OVER-PLAN YOUR NUTRITION**
**Don’t wait until you’re hungry to figure out what you’re going to eat.**
You’re running every four hours for 48 hours, so nutrition and hydration need just as much planning as your runs.
Have your meals, snacks, and hydration ready. Most importantly, **know what your stomach tolerates BEFORE challenge weekend.**
This is NOT the time to experiment with a new gel, supplement, or hydration strategy. Test it ahead of time. Know what works. Stick with it.
😴 **PLAN YOUR RECOVERY**
Recovery doesn’t start after the challenge.
**Recovery starts BEFORE it.**
Prioritize sleep leading into the weekend. Have comfortable clothes ready. Know where you’ll rest and have a post-run routine.
Remember: **those four hours between runs aren’t four hours of free time.**
You need time to eat, hydrate, clean up, change, get off your feet, and actually sleep.
🧠 **PLAN FOR THE HARD MOMENTS**
Because they WILL come.
Your brain will eventually say, *“I’m tired. My legs hurt. I don’t want to do this again.”*
That’s when preparation matters.
Don’t think about Run #12 when you’re on Run #4.
**Focus on the run in front of you.**
You don’t have to conquer 48 hours at once.
**Just complete the next 4 miles.**
Then do it again. And again. And again.
🔥 **THE BEST STRATEGY? OVER-PLAN.**
Route. Nutrition. Hydration. Clothing. Sleep. Recovery.
**Make the decisions NOW so you don’t have to make them when you’re exhausted.**
**48 HOURS. 12 RUNS. 48 MILES.**
One incredible challenge. One run at a time. 🔥
