Stone Climbing

Stone Climbing A premier climbing, yoga, and fitness facility in Jacksonville and Saint Augustine, Florida. Stone will be an incredible space to climb and hang.

It is going to be a modern, premiere climbing facility, and we’re so excited to bring it to the Oldest City. Our space will have over 5000 square feet of climbing surface, with 16ft bouldering walls, a 35-foot overhanging tower for top rope and lead climbing, as well as a separate, kids-focused climbing area. We will also be offering a gear shop, showers, and more perks for members. Additionally, we’re building a dedicated yoga room, a space for training with cardio equipment and free weights, as well as a cafe with coffee, tea, beer, and wine. We can’t wait to open our doors and build a community together.

When they break the belaytionship 💔

Coordination moves can feel like you’re just throwing yourself at the wall and hoping everything lines up. There’s a little more to it than that 🤙

Whether it’s a paddle dyno, a run-and-jump, or a quick hand-foot sequence, getting better at coordination comes down to a few things:

1. Break the move apart. Figure out the feet, hands, and direction you need to travel before trying to put everything together.

2. Pay attention to momentum. Coordination moves are often about keeping your body moving, not stopping at every hold.

3. Commit. Hesitating halfway through usually makes the move a whole lot harder.

4. Focus on timing. Being faster isn’t always better. Your hands and feet need to hit at the right moment.

5. Repeat it. Coordination is a skill you can train. The more of these moves you try, the easier it gets to recognize the movement and trust your body to do it.

And eventually, that move that made absolutely no sense starts to click. 🤝

Been eyeing the ropes but not sure where to start? 🧗

You don’t have to know what you’re doing before you get up there. That’s kind of the point.

Start with an Auto Belay orientation (Jax only) to learn the basics and get climbing on your own, take our Intro to Top Rope class to learn the ropes (literally), or when you’re ready to level up, our Lead Series will teach you how to tie into the “sharp end”.

When your forearms start getting pumped, shaking out your hand can help encourage blood flow, remove lactic acid, and give those muscles a quick chance to recover.

The trick? Keep the arm you’re resting below your heart when you can, relax your grip, and actually let that hand go loose.

So yes, the shakeout is real. Your forearms will thank you!

You need to bump to the next hold but your arm is already at full extension. Now what?

Pull in first, then bump 🤙

Pulling your body toward the wall gives you that extra little bit of room to make the move without desperately reaching for it.

Did we mention kids under 6 climb for free with a parent who purchases a day pass?

Plus, they’re working on balance, coordination, problem solving and confidence without realizing they’re doing any of it. To them, they’re just figuring out how to get to the top, trying something that looked impossible five minutes ago, and immediately wanting to do it again.

Basically, it’s a playground that makes them use their whole body AND their brain 🧗

Try us out today and snag a day pass at the link in our bio!

Got a kid who’s starting to get REALLY into climbing? We’ve got a club for that 🤙

Stone Clubs give kids a dedicated time each week to climb, work on technique, get stronger, and learn from our instructors alongside other kids their age.

We’ve got clubs for Elementary & Middle School, High School, and Homeschool students, so there’s a spot for pretty much every young climber who wants more time on the wall.
